What? Why shouldn't Brendan use Dig, Recon? I think it would be totally like him to dig holes and lurk underground for some quality time with himself.
Or with May.
Anyway, it's funny that the gang thought that the kid dug the hole. Like how would he have been able to do that? I think they should have realized that it's impossible.
Hmm... A small kid living with his big brother. Where are the parents? Dead? Abandoned the kids? Again with the responsible people of Pokémon world...

I think Rocky would like learning dig and roar.

Yeah... But he's gonna learn Roar very soon anyway, so he doesn't need the TM.

Because Nosepass are useless chunks of rock that would look more suited in a garden rather than a Pokemon battle. Exactly. Except I would never put a giant nose in my garden--I'd rather put an ugly lump of charcoal in as the centerpiece than a nosepass. I wonder if they will go inside the gaping hole in the wall and meet the fossil maniac...

Perhaps, since that kid knew nothing of Team Magma. But I doubt the Fossil Maniac will know either. He's only interested in fossils.

Probably. I don't remember, has anyone used a TM before in the comic?

No, they haven't. They use only HMs.

thanks. I can imagine that <I mispelled the main character's name because I'm an idiot> would use dig to bypass something. I don't know what though. He could also make a pitfall trap.

Yeah... He could dig random pitfalls and try to catch some rare pokémon.

if i remember correctly, they don't really explain how dig works. Brendan would be likely to walk out to somewhere and decide to test it, being taken back to the pokemon center and having to run back to wherever they were.
Seems stupid though. If you dug a tunnel to the pokemon center, couldn't you just take the same tunnel back to where you were? Unless they assume it would collapse or something. Or maybe a troupe of wandering magicians did it.

Well, he did the same thing with teleport so it is possible.
