Anyone else feel like Platinum's new male trainer looks insanely worse then in diamond and pearl? I mean what the f**k is up with that!?

The only reason is so he can make the "Cold Weather" look.
He needs to be dressed weirder since he's needs a coat and all of that since Sinnoh is so much colder.

When I came to this topic, I was expecting a conversation about Platinum's new features, but... I agree. He has a blue jacket, but everything else is red (if I recall correctlly).

I am one who enjoys misleading titles~
It honestly makes his old outfit look good... alas, at least Dawn looks alright... :/
Anyway I reserved myself a copy today and got my nifty little origin form figurine~ I actually really am looking forward to this game....

My friend got Platinum on a hack card, he can play it on his DS... *Does an evil glare* Although the text was japanese, we knew what some of it said, Pocket Monsters, the all-round well known rival THUD!!! and when we looked a little, the hometown had snow here, some snow there, I kinda liked it like that. and this is the first pokemon game to have the opponent Trainer animate, yeah, you heard me, animate. [/color][/glow] rival in battle animates, when we look at him, he's got a slight personality to a monkey.

i had the japanese game for a while but i couldn't work it so i decided to wait until march.
I googled the male trainer and oh dear. That just doesn't look right. I think its the scarf mainly but that hat seems to make the scarf worse.

So? People can wear what they want.

So? People can wear what they want. They can but when its for a game they are expected to look better. Especially when the previous games have set a standard. Its a game character not a person. Fictional characters don't have the same rights as real people. It isn't customisable and if you had to look at it for the whole game (which you don't but if it was worse it could become visible on the ingame trainer) it would be annoying.

I think the 4th Gen Male Trainer looks stupid in both games. If anything, I personally think his new look is a slight improvement. Anyway, anyone planning on preordering? Certain places are offering a Giratina Origin Forme Figure as a bonus. Also, a heads up, the important Regigas distribution event is coming up. You'll need Regigas for a side quest in Platinum so you should try to get it if possible.

Yeah, it's used for getting the regis, but why not use the lvl 1 regigigas in the temple?

Every 4th generation trainer outfit looks stupid. Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. It's like they stopped trying. A winter theme has so much potential, too. I love the clothing designs for the 3rd generation. And I wish they would re-release the 2nd generation games - I never had a chance to play them, and I would like to see what the outfits look like.

The original second generation trainer outfits weren't that good, but if they're gonna remake G/S/C (and they probably will, Nintendo does anything for money), the outfits will definitely change.
Not that I care.

Oh wow, I looked at the picture of him. Not the worst; I was expecting something that was synonymous as a mindfuck. Then again, I thought Brendan was weird looking and the only reason I'm not saying that anymore is because I just have gotten used to it... and I don't care as much anymore too.
I probably won't get the game because I'm not the Pokemon noob I was at one point of time. I mean, I haven't even played anything past Ruby so the new Pokemon and everything else is new to me. Guess it was because they recycled things a bit too much. Then again, they're NINTENDO-affiliated and they can get away with reusing ideas and objects over and over again.
