In this thread, post details of what you have been doing in any Pokemon game, i.e. current progression, training specific Pokemon, completing missions, etc. Your posts can be short (though they should at least be a few sentences) or long, depending on how much you want to document. Here is a simple example: "I have been playing Silver recently, and I caught a Sneasel. Then I battled Misty and beat her using my Raichu and Meganium. Now I'm going to Pewter City to battle Brock." If you are well into a Pokemon game, you do not need to summarize what you have done from the beginning. You can just start off from where you are. I will start the thread off with the first segment of my Emerald playthrough (I am currently at the Battle Frontier, but I will start from the beginning). Feel free to comment on any member's posts.
Game: Pokemon Emerald Character Name (Gender): Shah (Male)
SHAH'S EMERALD ADVENTURE CHAPTER 1: STONE SEARCHING - Chose Mudkip. Male with Impish nature. Named him Fisher. - Defeated May easily. - After helping Wally catch a Ralts, caught a male for myself with Synchronize and a Modest nature (the first time I got a nature that matched the Pokemon almost perfectly). Yes, I have a liking for Ralts. Named him Gown (gender clash, I know). - Caught a female Docile Shroomish in the Petalburg Woods. I accidentally knocked out the first three I encountered because Confusion kept on landing critical hits. Named her Funga. - Taught Shroomish Bullet Seed. - Upon realizing that I did not have a cutter on my team, caught a male Nincada and named it Helper under the assumption that it would be an utility. However, I actually thought about Shedinja as a team option and decided to train it whilst using it for HMs. Naughty nature, which is good, because Special Defense is useless on Shedinja whilst Attack is an asset. I will use my eventual flier (probably Vibrava) for Fly, which is why I will not evolve Nincada into a Ninjask. - Sent Nincada out against everything on Route 116. Yes, Leech Life + Harden + Sand-Attack lets it beat Geodudes and earn the high experience associated with that. - Trained my team up to Level 13 and beat Roxanne's trainers with Nincada and Ralts. - Battled Roxanne: - I wanted to avoid using Mudkip since it was on the verge of going up to Level 14, which would have de-synchronized things. I figured that Mudkip could get the level-up after the gym when the other Pokemon were trained as well. Thus I led with Nincada. - Nincada did very well, actually. Sand-Attack helped avoid some Rock Tombs and Rock Throws and two Hardens (one on the turn I predicted correctly that Roxanne would use a Potion) kept Nincada alive while Leech Life proved that a battle can be won at 1 damage per turn. Nincada's HP at the end of the first exchange was full, surprisingly. - Before switching to Ralts for the second Geodude Nincada got in a Sand-Attack for support. Rock Tomb still hit and badly damaged Ralts, but the next two missed and one Potion and two Confusions later the second Geodude was out. - Nosepass Blocked Shroomish as the mushroom came in, which did not matter. Shroomish paralyzed and seeded the Easter Island compass and then beat it down with Bullet Seed. Rock Tomb hurt but Leech Seed mopped up the wounds. Won the Stone Badge. - Taught Mudkip Rock Tomb. - Preparing to take on the Aqua Grunt in the Rusturf Tunnel. Current Team: Level 13 Mudkip (Fisher) (Impish; Torrent) - Water Gun - Mud-Slap - Rock Tomb - Tackle Level 13 Ralts (Gown) (Modest; Synchronize) - Confusion - Double Team - Growl Level 13 Shroomish (Funga) (Docile; Effect Spore) - Bullet Seed - Tackle - Stun Spore - Leech Seed Level 13 Nincada (Helper) (Naughty; Compoundeyes) - Leech Life - Cut - Harden - Sand-Attack
Remember, it can be a playthrough of any game. Have fun.

I've been training my Battle Tower pokémon to level 100. This week I managed to train my Weezing Toxena to level 100 by battling the trainers on Route 117 and the Pokémon League over and over. Toxena defeated Sidney, Glacia and Steven mostly by herself, but her attacks weren't good enough to beat Phoebe and Drake, and she didn't have enough PPs either.
Toxena (Weezing, female, Levitate, Adamant) - Attract - Sludge - Fire Blast - Explosion
After Toxena hit level 100, I spent some time in the Battle Tower. My previous level 100 record there was 20 wins in a row, but after Odin, Toxena and Jupiter were done with their opponents, my new record was 35 wins in a row.
Odin (Gardevoir, male, Trace, Adamant) - Calm Mind - Shock Wave - Double Team - Psychic
I always start Tower battles with Odin. Odin is one of my strongest pokémon. I always order him to use Calm Mind once or twice before attacking. It's a good strategy. Odin's only real enemies are Cacturne, Shiftry and Claydol and all pokémon with super-strong physical attacks and good Special Defense.
Odin won all the first seven battles by himself.
On the second round, Odin defeated six trainers and two of the last trainer's pokémon by himself, but then some pokémon (I don't remember what it was) knocked him out and I had to use Toxena. Toxena used Explosion and I won the battle.
The next three rounds were much more challenging. Odin's arch enemies Shiftry, Cacturne and Claydol appeared numerous times, and sometimes strong Psychic-types managed to beat Toxena. Luckily Jupiter saved me many times. Once Jupiter was knocked out by Sceptile's Leaf Blade, but I still had Toxena left, who managed to win by using Sludge.
I noticed that a certain pokémon was a pain in the neck. Starmie. It kept using Double Team and Recover, so if Odin had already been defeated, it was really difficult to beat. I think that one battle went like this:
- Odin was KO'd - The opponent used Starmie who kept using Double Team and Recover - Toxena's Sludges kept missing and I didn't want to use Explosion, but in the end I had to, because Toxena was clearly going to faint anyway - The opponent used Milotic
Ahh, Milotic. The most beautiful pokémon in the world, one of the most difficult to get, and... THE FRIGGIN' MOST ANNOYING BATTLE TOWER POKÉMON EVER!!!
She used Attract and Jupiter had trouble attacking. Luckily Milotic's only attacking move was Hydro Pump. It did a fair amount of damage, but Jupiter was holding Leftovers. Jupiter managed to use Earthquake a few times, but Milotic used Recover to heal herself. But in the end I managed to win when Milotic's Hydro Pumps ran out of PPs and Jupiter managed to use Earthquake and Milotic didn't use Recover.
I also encountered a few Swampert in the Battle Tower. Odin managed to defeat one by using Psychic and Toxena OHKO'd two Swampert by using Explosion. Unfortunately Jupiter didn't get to battle his fellow creatures, but he did OHKO one Blaziken.
After 35 wins, I decided to call it a day. And now I'm training Vulcan (Armaldo) to level 100. He's only level 55 now, though, so I still have a lot of work to do.

Curse Milotic and its Gown-slaying (my Gardevoir) Mirror Coat... Wait until you read my Emerald Frontier happenings. ;D Your report is very detailed, SJ. This thread looks like it will be a fun one to read.

I've EV trained 17 pokémon so far. It has been hard work, and I'm still not done! I still have a Larvitar, a Heracross and a Tropius to EV train, but after that I'm done with EV training... FOREVER! MWAHAHAHAHAHAAA!
Ahem.
Currently I'm training my EV trained pokémon to level 100 in no particular order. My Glaceon Marius is now level 66, and I'm going to keep training him until he either hits level 100 or when it's Roosje's (Roserade) turn to take Marius's place in my party.
You see, I collect Julia's Ribbons. Marius has now two of her Ribbons, so I'm going to keep him in my party until next Wednesday. That's why none of my EV trained pokémon is level 100 yet - I switch them a lot.
However, I'm quite proud with my progress. My pokémon all love me, their stats are very impressive and I think I've picked them quite good moves as well.

Just been working on filling up pages on my pokedex. My team is around 56-57 so I figured I'd take a break and just evolve some pokemon. When I was trying to get a Bonsly, I forgot that I needed the Rock Insense and when I spent some time looking for it, I remembered that I had it be held by my Shiny Graveler. Which I traded to get a Shiny Magikarp.
In Box temporarily Alphonse (Empoleon, Lv57) Mild Flash Cannon Water Pulse Surf Aqua Jet
On Hand. Squall (Gallade, Lv56) Adamant Psycho Cut Charge Beam Close Combat Leaf Blade
Silver (Rapidash Lv57, Shiny) Brave Flare Blitz Megahorn Strength Flamethrower
Ryu (Lucario Lv57) Mild Bone Rush Force Palm Rock Climb Aura Sphere

Your team looks good, but I think you should ditch Alphonse's Aqua Jet, since it has a good Sp. Attack and two Water-type moves already. And Ryu needs something against flying or Levitating Ghosts.
Other than that, your team is excellent.

Impressive stats.
I'm currently training Marius at the Battleground. He just defeated Gardenia all by himself. Five Blizzards and that was it.

@ SeriousJupiter: Those are quite a few Pokemon you have been training there. @ Kun: Quite a nice team you have there. @ Gooman: Only 82 Poke on you? XD Quite smart you are, as long as you do not use all your healing items in one go. Then you are screwed. Also, I like your team. @ Rapter: Good luck at the Pokemon League. I like how you use Marowak. Now I move along with my playthrough...
SHAH'S EMERALD ADVENTURE CHAPTER 2: CRACKED KNUCKLE - Beat Aqua grunt easily with Nincada, rescuing the Devon Goods and Peeko. - Cleared Route 116's Cut maze. - Got the PokeNav. - Battled May in Rustboro: - I was disorganized at the start, with Nincada leading against Wingull. Switched to Mudkip for the KO with Rock Tomb. - Treecko gave me problems. Several switches let me beat it without losing a Pokemon, but it was close. - Sailed to Dewford with Mr. Briney. - Taught Ralts Flash. - Taught Mudkip Bide. - Taught Ralts Teleport. - Taught Shroomish Mega Drain. - Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp. - Taught Marshtomp Mud Shot. - Trained my Pokemon at Granite Cave to Level 16 before challenging Dewford Gym. - Beat Brawly's trainers easily with all of my Pokemon. - Battled Brawly: - Decided to start with Ralts against Machop. Two Confusions and it was over. - Forced to keep Ralts in out against Meditite due to Focus Punch. Again, two Confusions did it. - Switched out Ralts for Nincada, fearing a Bulked Up Reversal would take frail Ralts out. Unwise. Bulked Up Vital Throws HURT even resistant Pokemon. - Forced to use a Super Potion. Guess what happened next? Critical hit = fainted Nincada. - Sent in Shroomish to seed the sumo wrestler. - Ralts comes in on the switch, ready to deal the death blow. Guess what happened next? Critical hit = fainted Ralts. - Marshtomp could not end the nightmare. Mud Shot just missed a KO, by 1-2 HP, I think. Guess what happened next? Reversal = fainted Marshtomp. - Makuhita faints from Leech Seed damage. It was quite ugly, but I win the Knuckle Badge. - My battered team gets healed and I prepare for the deep crevices of Granite Cave, still dizzy from Makuhita's onslaught. Current team: Level 17 Marshtomp (Impish; Quick Claw; Torrent) - Water Gun - Mud-Slap - Rock Tomb - Mud Shot Level 17 Ralts (Modest; Pecha Berry; Synchronize) - Confusion - Double Team - Teleport - Flash Level 17 Shroomish (Docile; Miracle Seed; Effect Spore) - Mega Drain - Tackle - Leech Seed - Stun Spore Level 17 Nincada (Naughty; Silk Scarf; Compoundeyes) - Leech Life - Cut - Fury Swipes - Sand-Attack
Comments on this playthrough are welcome.

About to chalenge the 7th gym. (Tate and Liza) Mario/Grumpig LV42 Shock wave Confuse ray Psychic Psych up Great name, and good moveset. Psych Up could be of use against the twins' Calm Minders if you choose to use Mario against them. Swampy/Swampert LV 42 Ice beam Growl (WHY DOES HE STILL HAVE GROWL?!) Muddy water (To be replaced with Eathquake when I get the TM) Surf Growl? Whoa, Swampy will sure love Earthquake when it comes up. Mushy/Breloom LV42 Giga drain Sky uppercut Stun spore Leech seed. Your Pokemon's names are amazing. A strong set, too. Ted/Skaramory. (Why did I name him Ted? I was playing with my friend when I caught him. I asked him what will I call her -Yes its a her- He said 'I dunno Ted?') LV 43 Air cutter Steel wing Aeriel ace Fly You should replace one of those Flying moves, maybe with Toxic if you have it (found in Fiery Path). Repiv/Seviper LV 43 Glare Poison fang Crunch Poison tail. Decent set. However, you should replace one of Poison Fang and Poison Tail with another move, like maybe Iron Tail (I forget where it is found).
