I had a dream that communists conquered New York. Then they blew New Jersey to smithereens, which gained them the support of the New Yorkers.

I dreamed that my dog was alive again and I had to dry his feet, which had wet grass stains on them.
God, I miss him.

And suddenly I was depressed.
Anyone here tried Lucid Dreaming? Its a technique which allows you to controll your own dreams. I tried it last night but I shook myself out of it. I'm gonna try again tonight

I'm gonna try again tonight That happens to me accidentally. I first have to realize it is a dream, then I can control myself.

Every time I realise I'm dreaming I wake up. It gets annoying after a while.

I've heard of it but don't know how it works.

From what I know the best technique is if you lie on your back with your arms flat at your side and let yourself drift off. You have to stay perfectly still or else it won't work though.

Every once and a while I can control myself while I dream. Sometimes I have no control. When I do have control, I usually direct myself to look for something I desire, or act so much like myself that when I wake up I feel that I have not been dreaming, at least for a few minutes. The most recent case of this was when I had a dream that I was taking my English 101 exam again, and was in danger of failing until I convinced my teacher to give me an extra hour (which would never happen in real life, but I did not know that at the time). When I woke up, I was like, "Whew, I caught a break". Seconds later, I said, "Wait, I did that test three days ago. And I finished it thirty minutes before the deadline, and got an A". Then I laughed at myself for my sudden realization of reality.

Things like that happen to me, VF, with nightmares of not having a major project done on time with no hope for an extension.
(Unfortunately, that did happen to me in real life this year. But it happens a lot more in dreams.)

I realize that I'm dreaming a lot. Can never control it. The best I can do is either skip tedious parts or speed up when the bomb goes off.
(It scares the hell out of the imaginary SWAT guys.)

I've tried lucid dreaming before I can never get it to work right because I end up having the same part of the dream replay over and over again.

I had the strangest dream last night. I dreamed that Daniel Radcliffe was dead and it was all over the tabloids. I and my best friend were at some sort of weird mall trying to decide whether we should buy cookies or candy. (I wanted both, but we didn't have much money.) In the end I stole a tabloid and read an article about Radcliffe's death. After I had read it, I took the paper back to where I had stolen it.
It was the most vivid dream I've had in ages. I remembered everything about it when I woke up.

I had a dream I was nearly lucid in a week ago. I just remembered now.
It was a good one, too.
I was in a Na'vi Human Hybrid Body from the Avatar and I could run and such. The thing is though that the scientists had only made prototype bodies, so most of them had flaws like no tails or disabilities via nerves and other stuff i couldn't catch.
after that I realised I was in a dream, but then everything just dulled out and I woke up.
I do hope that when I manage to control dreams that I can explore in that world again.

This is going to sound weird, but one time my friend just dreamed of a big cup of butterscotch pudding all night. Then it exploded and he woke up.
One of the most vivid dreams Ive ever had was when a mass-murderer killed all of my family, and I tried to run away. I ran and ran, but I tripped on a flower pot. He caught up to me and killed me. I woke up instantly. I still remember the setting it took place in.
