They have Mithril and Adamantite? First time I've heard of them outside Runescape.

They have Mithril and Adamantite? First time I've heard of them outside Runescape. Those are actually pretty commonly used fantasy metals; seen 'em from FF series, Mana series, and a slew of other games I can't remember. Would have been kinda cool if they'd included orichalcum (probably spelled wrong...), what with the introduction of a "light", sorta magical and sunny based biome like the Hallow. Oh well, one can dream. :3

FFFFFFfffff...... For the second time, Terraria has deleted my gear. Literally deleted it, no lava or leaving it outside a chest when leaving the world or whatnot. Just gone.
I am needless to say... a little annoyed. -_-

They have Mithril and Adamantite? First time I've heard of them outside Runescape. Yeah, Mythril is incredibly common. I think it originated from LotR where it was some kind of SUPER SILVER. And Adamantite shows up EVERYWHERE. I think it's even the material of Wolverine's claws. FFFFFFfffff...... For the second time, Terraria has deleted my gear. Like all your items just vanish from your inventory or something? Or is it just some of them.

Yes it is the substance that makes up Wolverines bones, not just his claws (Mainly because before stryker mutated him further he claws were bone) and yeah it just deletes your inventory? has any else had the problem?

Well, if we're going to be on a server, I don't think it can be hosted by me. So DC could probably make it(saying he has time) or maybe someone could volunteer. Right now, I've just been in a server with my friend, and we've made some pretty good progress so far.

I would host except... -My internet sucks -Don't have Hamachi -Don't know how to set up dedicated server -Even disregarding the previous things, I won't be able to have the server up very often

I forget the specific specifics of the first instance, but second time I was on a server with some friends on a new world and just started raiding the dungeon. Ended getting killed while trying to port out with magic mirror, so had one of my friends already in the dungeon help me look for my stuff. Problem was when hee found my tombstone, the items weren't there; they'd simply ceased to exist.
Also, you don't need Hamachi to set up a server; never even had it installed until I frequented Jacio's server.
... one of these days I need to figure out how to set up a server. -_-

Yeah, items dropped when you die as mediumcore fade after a certain amount of time and I believe armor is instantly lost. Just make a Softcore character or something.

... well that's a pain in the butt. How long is the timer though? Because my stuff dissappeared pretty damn fast for a timed fade. -_-

Huh? That stuff has never happened to me. If I die, I go to my death site and all my stuff is there. Singleplayer and Multiplayer. My armor is there, my money, everything. As far as I'm aware, none of my stuff has ever 'faded'. The only time that things 'fade' is when there are over 200 instances there. And I don't mean 200 blocks of dirt, you would need 200 stacks of 200 pieces of dirt to do it. So yeah, no idea what's up with you. :/

I don't really know how long the timer is but I know my stuff has disappeared before. It might actually be a bug with Mediumcore if what Jacio says is true. Regardless, it got me too frustrated to continue playing Mediumcore. Also seeing as how dying in Softcore drops tombstones too now, the only real advantage to Mediumcore is a different colored name. It's not really worth it IMO. Might as well swap to Softcore or just go all out and be Hardcore.

Figured it was probably a bug.... blast it all. -_- And meh, soft core feels too easy and hard core is a bit much. Medium core offers the right kind of balance for me; not forcing you to start completely from scratch even 'cause of one measely mistake, but also making death more than a mere slap on the wrist. At least when this bloody bug doesn't occur... I can accept losing my gear if I lost it somewhere I can't get it back from. (after all, then it's entirely my fault the stuff was lost there to begin with)
