So, today aired the first episode of Two and a Half Men, with Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen. Just wondering what people thought about it. It seemed pretty decent to me. Definitely not as good, and I found the humor to be a little dark compared to normal. That may just be because the episode focused on a funeral followed by a failed suicide attempt (the water was too cold).

I remember reading about and keeping an eye out for Sheen after his outburst that got him fired. Did Kutcher replace the Charlie character? I mean, is Kutcher Charlie in the show now? Or was Alan kicked out and is now shacked up with another drunken, sex-crazed hellraiser?

Charlie went to vacation in France and was pushed into a train after being caught cheating. The episode opened with his funeral. Since Alan couldn't pay for the house expenses, they had to sell it. Kutcher plays Walden Smchidt (or something), who tries to drown himself after his high school sweetheart dumps him, and Alan and him go for drinks after they meet. Walden gets laid (threesome!) and buys the house, hoping to be friends with Alan.
