Can't believe this wasn't already here!
Skyrim is amazing, buggy, but the world of graphics definately has improved since Oblivion. What are your thoughts so far?

I was going to buy Skyrim, but then I took an arrow in the knee.
That arrow being my lack of a system that can play it

Gotta say, as annoying as it was to switch to a new skill system, after a while it grew on me and have come to love it. Love the new smithing system, makes it a less of a hassle getting the armor you want in the long run; though I wish you could temper pickaxes... makes being a maniac miner kinda tough. Also gotta say they managed to get the enchant exploit-fix-attempt down nicely this time, though it is a smidge annoying to have to find items with said enchantments to get 'em (especially since amulets can't be broken down).
Loved the changes to combat, what with dual-weilding being an effective alternative (instead of being gimped or too powerful), less cumbersome spell usage, and sheilds that actually DO something. My only complaint is that unarmed can only be improved (and slightly) by leveling heavy armor and that you can't dual weild physical sheilds. >_>
The NPCs are better this time around, but the voice acting is still limited when I can hear the same exact voice from 3-5 different Nords in the same town.
Graphics are nice but a smidge buggy, though at least I haven't fell through the ground like I did playing Morrowind. XD
The dungeons/caves/etc. are nicely varied this time around.
All in all I did not regret in the slightest getting it when it came out instead of waiting for the price to drop like I usually do, heh.

I've just bought the house in Solitude, Proudspire? Whatever it's called, for basically free, though I did need 25, 000 septims in order to get it. You gotta love outsmarting game designers.
Basically you get the gold, go to buy the house or decorations, select to buy it, back out like no tomorrow, use time slow shout, then store all your gold in the box before the gold sound is made. Poof, you've made your purchase and your gold is safe in that storage thing. Pick it up, rinse repeat. The only one I had issues with is Windhelm, one because there is no storage close by, and that I can't seem to get Blood On the Ice to start...
By the way anyone have a solution to that?

Lance is an awesome guy and gifted me Skyrim through Steam. I spent the whole day downloading it and by some miracle it works on my old laptop. (Low graphics notwithstanding)
I'm playing through as an Argonian. This should be fun.

From the info I gathered from one of my friends at school since I don't have a 360 or ps3 or credit card I have to say it sounds just like all the mmorpgs that were already made put into game.

Skyrim isn't a MMO style game. The quests in Skyrim are more dynamic and varied than your average MMO. There is no "Go to [place] and [kill/collect] [Number] [thing]" style missions.
Skyrim is a fun game but I keep getting distracted with other games. I should get back to playing it.

I wasn't really talking about the quest system i'm talking about the types of monsters and the types of weapons to me it also sounds a bit like Fairy Tail.

Eh, I don't think so. That's like saying Ninja Gaiden is similar to Skyrim because the main character uses swords or that Call Of Duty is similar to Skyrim because there are humans. Just because (some) MMOs and Skyrim have similar enemies or setting does not mean that they are exactly the same.
