Lately, a lot of my friends and I have been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and I wanted to make this thread so any other New Leaf players could share their experiences in-game!
As well as general talking of the game, making offers for buying/trading items and gate opening is welcome. I'm sure this'll make it easier for people to finish furniture sets they need, as well as complete certain villager-assigned tasks or give funds to pay for Public Works Projects.
Also, feel free to trade 3DS Friend Codes in this thread. I can make a list in the OP for easy reference if needed.

Oh, yup! I have New Leaf! It's the first one I've had since Wild World on the DS.
Experiences..? Well, naturally I named myself Dotty in-game. Animal Crossing obviously thinks itself a comedian, as one of my starting villagers was also called Dotty. Awkward. It was really bizarre to come off the train and have a textbox with "Dotty" at the top start talking. I thought it was my guy and it was really confusing for a while.
Speaking of starting villagers, all I remember from Wild World is that Lily the frog was my favourite villager then, and I'd spent a lot of time with her. Lo and behold, one of my starting villagers in New Leaf is Lily the frog. This game is psychic.
Anyway, all that was back on June 29th, and my town of Fiana has really prospered since!

I haven't ever played an Animal Crossing before this but I picked it up on launch because of the hype around it. Its one of the most fun and cutest games I've ever played and it makes me go :3 the whole time. I haven't really touched my town in weeks though welp.

Lately, I've been making graphs and lists on what turnip prices are at every single day in order to get the best profits possible. It adds a perspective to the game in a way that EV training adds to pokemon; overcomplicating an easy kids game and (potentially) having fun while doing it.
Also, does anyone else find the music that plays at 7PM creepy and depressing, or is that just me?

I'm rather fond of it actually; I don't find it creepy in the slightest. It's pretty serene. 11pm is probably my favourite, however.
