By typing "Pokemon X" into Google search, this website comes up as the third or 4th site on the list. Now, as you all know, Pokemon X and Y are in the makes, and are bound to be searched up a LOT, so I'd advise fixing the schedule that appears below each comic page, you know, the thing that shows the progress bar and such. Why do I suggest this? Because anyone who clicks on this website will think this comic series is dead! The forums will never liven up. Hell, I started reading these comics 2 or 3 years ago, and have only joined the forums recently. I thought the comic -was- dead until I checked the forums. Not a lot of people are willing to do that, so they will never find out if it is still alive.
I read the topic on this website dying a few weeks ago, and I think this is one of the key solutions that you guys are overlooking.

I agree. Firstly, there is no chance of catching up with three years of comics, and secondly, what cyrozentaku just said.

Us Mods have discussed this before, but so far Recon hasn't replied to us. It seems he just doesn't want to change the comics' dates and is insisting on keeping the schedule as it "should" be.

Well, someone needs to bring this to his attention once more, especially now that he's started producing more pages again. Otherwise he is dooming his own series. This comic has potential to become pretty popular with the Pokemon community, but if he just leaves it looking like it's a website that has died 3 years ago, then no one will show up and read them at all.

Is it really that big of a deal? Can't you remember if you read the comic or not without looking at the date?

Is it really that big of a deal? Can't you remember if you read the comic or not without looking at the date? Your missing the entire point. It's not about me not being able to remember if I read the page or not, it's to signify to newer readers that this comic is still ongoing. I have read the "Isn't it about time we talked about this?" topic a few weeks ago, and thinking about it, this is probably one of the contributes to not gaining any new users at all. I can't can't remember how I foudn this comic, all I know is that I found it by myself, not through some friend telling me about it, so it's likely alot of others will find it on their own too. Especially with the Pokemon X & Y trailers and discussions going around. Edit: Also, I can remember what page I read last. I never said anything about that earlier.

Yeah, I'm sure Recon is aware of that issue; many of us have talked about it. He hasn't actually made any responses to these complaints directly. The fact that the dates have not changed probably means it won't happen anytime soon.

See when I find a webcomic that looks like it hasn't had an update in a year or more I check the forums to see if it's still going. :T

It is the newer readers that suffer. At first glance it seems dead, and I wouldn't want to read 1000+ pages of a comic that doesn't have an end.

I know there's a good chance I wouldn't have stuck around if I hadn't found out about it through TV Tropes AND the comic updated while I was looking to see if it was something I wanted to read or not.

I haven't really talked to Recon in... almost a year now but when we talked about it he was always dead set against changing the dates. It seems to be just something he wants.

In the end it is he who makes the decision. But if we don't voice our opinion, we will never be heard. Let's hope we are, for the comic's sake.
