It's common knowledge now that the forum has been dead for a long, long while now. But a lot of the older members have come back because of the recent surge in activity. That's why I'm making this thread, to ask one simple question: What Is Up? It's a chance for us to catch up and discuss what it going on in our lives and what has gone on in our lives this past year or two.
I guess I'll start it off.
So I haven't really been active on the forums for the past year and it's because I've been busy as hell for the last year. I have been very active on Twitter though and that's literally only because it's far easier to post from my phone.
So around this time last year I had a health scare and since then I've been going in and out of hospital for appointments and check-ups. In-between this I got a job and started college so I was pretty much off my feet 6-7 days a week. Recently has been better though. I'm taking a year break from college and I've been let go from my job. I've used the last few months to organise and travel. I was in Manchester a month ago and I was in Canada for the last two weeks and I'm just home today.
Apart from that nothing really big has happened I guess? I got my ear pierced and I now wear glasses and changed up how I dress.

For me this last year has been ok.
I got a job a month or so after I moved back to colorado from California and it's been probably the best job I've had ever.
I got an Xbox and have been trying to expand my videogame collection a bit.
I also restarted my LP of Pokemon Leafgreen when I found out that every one was trying to bring activity back to the forums which I'm glad to hear.
Sorry there isn't much I'm trying not to bring up the depressing parts of this last year. *3*

The last couple of years of my life have been quite uneventful, but right now, I'm writing this from school, so that's something, I guess. I failed to get to university twice, so now I'm studying at a university of applied sciences in Helsinki. I've always wanted to live in Helsinki, and now that dream has finally come true, even if it is living only in a dormitory.

Going for a BS in Computer Science, paternal grand-mom passed away, went to the Outer Banks in North Carolina for a week for the 4th of July, got laser eye surgery last month, and... I think that's about it.

Off to University next month to do maths. A lot has changed since I joined the forums as a 12 year-old boy.

My brother tried to commit suicide, I got the necessary art grade to get to college and I'm just generally trying to be a better person.
In other news, I'm super pleased that the forum's gears are turning once more and I may open an art thread in the Fan Art section.

Oh yeah, my paternal grandmother passed away last year. She was my favorite grandparent. My great-grandmother also died last year, but we weren't very close and she was over 90 years old anyway, so it wasn't a big shock. I also found out that my sister is gay. I'm fine with that, but I was really worried that my mom wouldn't approve... Luckily, she seems to at least tolerate it.

It's amazing how you know people online for so long without truly knowing anything about them. It's nice to see the people behind the usernames and avatars.

I agree.
And Dotty, you definitely should open your own art thread. That'd give the Fan Art section at least a little more activity.

I was mostly active on the minecraft server, but whatever. I stalked this forum enough to recall most of your names and where you mostly post. I also pretty much vanished a few months after the server died.
I've been continuing studying for a bachelors in computer science, although just recently I've come to the epiphany that I want to become a librarian, because it would be awesome.
My school life has been mostly awesome, got an internship for a month, running a bunch of clubs at school, got a job on campus, training to be a tutor, somehow passed first two Calc courses.
Home life was non-existant for the spring, at school for 9 hours (I commute to community college), work for 6, sleep for 5. didnt mind that much.
For all those I've read here that had or having issues I wish you the best. And congratulations on all the good things! I also think I saw that a lot of you are going to university or college or something. My current programming project is to create an aggregator website of all the online teaching resources that I can find (Coursera, EDx, etc). In doing so I've found many aggregator sites that are much better than whatever I will create, but hey, why not try anyway. There are just so many and I'm mainly just trying to figure out a sorting system for all of it. Thought it might be interesting to some of you here.

I've since graduated and got back from vacation in Colorado. Our intention was to hike a lot. Instead, we hiked a little and the rest of my group got drunk. How do I summarise the most memorable moment of that trip?
"Spanish milfs."

Oh, it appears I've forgotten to post here. I've recently graduated High School, I've moved up to Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute to get my combined BS/Masters in Computer Science, and I'm approaching the two-year-iversary with my girlfriend. So... yeah. Quite busy at the moment but I'll try to be around more.
Also, finally on a computer that can actually run games. That's been quite fun so far.

and I was in Canada for the last two weeks and I'm just home today. Oh, whereabouts Cab? If you don't mind me asking. And as for myself, I doubt many remember me as I was mainly part of the Minecraft server, but I figure I'll contribute a little anyways. For the most part it's just been an odd couple of years, my health issues have had some crazy swings and have gotten much worse, causing me to fall very fall behind in my schooling, but we've finally got a decent grasp on some potential solutions and it's not looking quite so bad at this point. I've improved a lot at playing the guitar, I'm currently able to get about a minute or so into Leyenda Asturias, which is my current benchmark for progress. Other than that really most of my time was spent cooking, or getting into PC gaming and building more, most other things were just boring day-to-day tasks and such.
