I don't know if that topic exists (and if it exists then it's probably very old anyway...) but yeah, let's talk about music!
My favourite band is The Cure. I've been listening to them since I was maybe 6 or 7 years old and I'm finally going to see them live this year! Iron Maiden is also one of my favourites (seen them live 2011). I also like old progressive rock bands including Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Rush but I listen to many other bands, mainly rock and metal.

I'm mostly spread about regular old classic rock (Van Halen, Eagles, Billy Joel), 80's New Wave/Pop (Blondie, Cameo), and Alt Rock (Fallout Boy, Green Day). A bit of country as well, mainly Willie, CCR, Rascal Flatts, and maybe some Toby Keith. Also a fan of Ska and the whole Big Band sound, when I can find it. Planning to try out Metal in the near future (Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Dethklok, etc).

Gomman, if you want to try metal, then definitely try (besides the ones you've already mentioned) Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Tool
