I think that they were just keeping Monty in there so he'd find it harder to annoy them...

I know, he's like a Brendan without common sense... er, LESS common sense...

In panel six, May is supposed to be talking, but the tail points to Brendan.

O.O I just noticed that. But it doesn't matter, so long as the text is color-coded!

Yeah. I suppose it's a good way to have a back up. If one goes wrong, you've always got the other.

Ex-ACTLY! Which is why Recon did it. But looking back on the links I posted...those were comics from his first year... he improved and changed the comic... a lot.

What are you talking about? At all times the blue text, as said by May points to her, and all red text, said by Brendan, points to him. Unless Recon went all sneaky and changed it since last you guys saw it to me looking just now...

It pointed to Brendan when I looked at it, but then I refreshed, and it had changed. Well done Recon!

Wednesday's comic is excellent. There's humour... And now also an encounter with a wild pokémon! ;D Too bad it's Brendan who gets to catch the pokémon. It's better be a Taillow! If it's a Skitty, May's gonna want it and Brendan has to trade it for one of her pokémon... Geodude? Nah. Brendan hates them. Edit: I just remembered that Brendan's out of Poké Balls! How is he able to catch that pokémon?

Maybe he won't? How many people catch every pokémon they encounter in the games? Hell, it might even be a pokémon he's caught before. He might not even battle it - he might just run! As I said a while back, it would just make it a bit more realistic.
Besides, Recon's not gonna spend much time on a battle near Rustboro in a storyline that centres around Mt. Chimney.

With recon saying that people hate the battles, I don't! I find them really good!

All of the pokémon that exist on that route are pokémon Brendan doesn't have. Nincada, Whismur, Skitty, Taillow and Zigzagoon. Well, he does have Zigzagoon's data in his pokédex, but he technically doesn't have the creature itself. But whatever it is, he isn't able to catch it, because he's out of balls! So yeah, maybe he'll defeat it or run... But May has to catch a Skitty. As far as I know, she still has Poké Balls. And Lukaskirkby, I like battles too.
