I gotta admit, it does look pretty great. I'll definitely check out Beta news, but it's not exactly an instant buy for me, but the very first time it goes on sale, if at all(and knowing valve/steam it will), I'm definitely grabbing it. Also, with the amount of games imitating DotA, I'd say that MOBA pretty much has solidified itself as a genre. Heck, not even 2 weeks ago another one has popped up as F2P on Steam. store.steampowered.com/app/90530/?snr=1_4_4__103_1(It looks hilariously like a reskin of League of Legends.)

I exclusively play League of Legends because I'm lame. For people who will inevitably not know what anyone here is talking about.. *cough* daveshn *cough* DotA and League of Legends are of a genre called MOBA. Another popular MOBA title is Heroes of Newerth. MOBA stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena. It's basically a game that uses Real Time Strategy controls, except instead of controlling an army, you are controlling a single unit with a variety of powerful skills. Usually there are two teams with very weak AI units spawning in both sides. If left alone, they would be locked in an eternal stalemate, and this is where your unit comes in. Your unit is much more powerful than the countless pawn AIs eternally spawning and it's your job to clear the path for your minions and then ultimately destroy the enemy base. Think of it as Tug-O-War except pushing instead of pulling. If you are realistically considering playing a MOBA there are 3 primary options: Defense of the Ancients - The original. I personally think it feels dated. You need to have Warcraft 3 to play this. League of Legends - A standalone game made by a group who made a pretty popular DotA variant in Warcraft 3. It attempts to slightly stray from DotA making some aspects more accessible to newer players. Not only is it a standalone game, it's also completely free. I really enjoy League of Legends because of it's colorful characters and the fact that it doesn't quite take itself seriously. Heroes of Newerth - Like League of Legends this is also a standalone game. The atmosphere of the game is a lot darker and serious, and overall the gameplay is pretty much 'DotA if DotA wasn't a Warcraft 3 mod'. It was formerly Pay to Play but is now completely free. All 3 games have the shittiest, newbie unfriendly communities you will ever see. It is recommended you do as Shadane says and play with friends.

Yay, beat it. And cleared all the Advanced levels. Too lazy to do the challenges. Might have to replay to do the Camera Shy achievement some time though.

Did you actually go to the game page? The "Add to Cart" button should be replaced with "Install Game". Click Install and it'll get added to your Library and start downloading.

You know that really old crappy game where you shoot orange and blue holes in the wall while an AI makes fun of you? Okay, so it's not crappy and is actually a really amazing physics puzzle platformer. Everything else is true though. Well it's free on Steam now! If you STILL haven't played it, hop on Steam and go get it! If you don't have Steam go get it. This is PORTAL, man. You've got until the 20th to get it. GO GET IT. www.learnwithportals.com/

I played it back when you could only battle AIs and I must say, it's very well made. However, the inability to use points to buy new cards/decks kind of irks me(Can you manage your deck now?), and I don't really want to play until those features become available.

For those of you who don't follow the news, some 1.1 information has been revealed over the passed 3 days. Corruption spreads over new blocks now. Currently confirmed blocks appear to be Sand and Jungle Grass. To counteract this change to the corruption, there's also going to be Hallowed Seeds which will create a biome completely resistant to corruption. New ore types! Cobalt and Mithril. Sure sounds interesting. Also, a new Sword, a new Tool, and Mithril armor(With varying helmets) have been shown in the above links.

Since cross-posting is a frequent thing that happens in this topic. Watch this video! It's a Team Fortress 2 video. YOU MUST WATCH IT NO MATTER WHAT. Even if you don't play it and THINK IT'S SOME KIND OF MINECRAFT CLONE. Assuming you even know IT'S A COMPUTER GAME. Why? Because if I get 1,000 views, I get A VIRTUAL HAT IN A COMPUTER GAME. As you can see this is OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE. So WATCH IT.

Anyone have any of the new Deus Ex crossover weapons yet? I crafted a Short Circuit because I had a spare Gunslinger. It's...pretty underwhelming. I think I'd rather have a Machina or Diamondback.
Or Deus Specs. So cool.
