I found this comic and felt it was appropriate for the topic. Yep. Quite appropriate. You know you're talking with an idiot when they say "evolution is only a theory." These widespread groups of morons have no idea that the word "theory" has a totally different meaning when it comes to science.

Exactly! It's simply the religous community's way of post-poning the inevitable, the fall of religion. As soon as thats gone the world will be a better place.
And when we do show them evidence, people keep trying to bring up the fact that there are no transitional fossils to prove evolution, no matter how many times we explain to them that the chance of an animal getting fossilised in the first place is less than 1%. Then they bring up the dinosaurs, the reason there is lots of fossils of them is because they all died at the same time.

Yeah, in class last year we studied all sorts of forms of pre-human forms.
I've heard a somewhat in-between ID theory which said that God didn't directly make us, but instead he sort of 'persuaded' early forms of life to evolve into what we are today.

That's exactly what "intelligent" design is, isn't it?

Another common was is that god creates universe, universe does its own thing and by a slight chance, we are created. Its called Theistic evolution... and its many scientists way of 'giving in without giving in'.

That's Diesm actually. It began during the enlightenment.
Difference is, enlightened thinkers back than didn't have the information that we have today.

Really? I was taught it was theistic evolution. I just say its about time people are coming to their senses and abandoning religion.
50 years ago if you suggested teaching evolution in schools, the christians would probably try to burn you at the stake or something.
