well, i do know how they can each use HMs. maybe the HMs need badges to plug in to work, so they can all use brendans.

Before that moment Makit didn't obey Brendan properly, so he needed the Knuckle Badge to make Makit listen to him. So Electrike shouldn't obey Wally, and yet it does.

And what's more, if Makit hits level 30 before Brendan gets the Heat Badge, it should stop obeying him. Rocky thinks so here.

So why does Electrike obey Wally when it's obvious that he needs Badges? Or did Recon just make a mistake? Someone tell me, please!

It's because it would be completely irrelevant to make Wally and Brendan get badges, so he has Wally go by a different system.

It's a bit weird that only Brendan needs Badges to make his traded pokémon obey him, when May and Wally don't, but that's the best system Recon could come up with, I suppose.

I like battles. But you're right, the comic is fine the way it is. I just love pointing out everything that doesn't seem to fit.

what about early on in the comic when brendan makes a snorlax joke? wally dosn't get it, but it looks like may does, and snorlax aren't naturally in hoenn, right?

There are no Munchlax or Snorlax in Hoenn (at least not in the game Hoenn, in the anime Hoenn May catches a Munchlax there), so I think she didn't get that joke either. She doesn't know anything about Murkrow or Onix or Team Rocket or Snorlax just because they don't live in Hoenn! She thinks Brendan is just making all those things up when he mentions them.

Shall we get back to the topic? Or is there anything more to say here?

Yea, but maybe she did get it. It's no big deal if she did or didn't. Munchlax were introduced early before the rest of the Sinnoh pokemon so maybe.
