Well...since this has kinda become the Anime conversation thread, I'd like to bring up an anime I just saw. It's called "Voices of a Distant Star" after watching this...I almost began to cry. There are two friends in highschool a guy and a girl. The girl gets drafted into a space army. They keep in contact through email hoping to meet each other again one day. As time goes on, the girl is forced to follow her division further and further into space causing the delay between emails to become further and further apart. It's gets more and more tragic as time goes on...It's really depressing...*Sighs*

I've got a tragic anime for you, Elfen Lied, well it's not just like to lovers get sperated, it's more like tramatizing stuff, it's funny at times and honestly it isn't just tragic moment affter moment but it's messed up still, very bloody at times, lots of nudity (but it's not a hentai ), great art style... I love it a lot, try reading it on Degree Anime, it's good

That's Comedy Even as a joke, do not refer to it as a comedy. It is probably the greatest book ever written, even though it has a few errors in it, and should only be praised. By the way, I am referring to the novel, not the manga.

Yeah, the novel was alright, but they overdid some parts of the manga and killed it...

The novel would be perfect if it wasn't for the name mixups that occur, at least in the english version. Everything else was perfect.
While we're on the topic: DC, first time you read it, did you think Shinji was tricking them or did you think he actually had a way out?

Well...he was pretty smart, but I think he was just trying to use it as a method to prevent people from getting him. Doesn't matter 'cuz he got owned by the psycho guy. Lotsa peple got owned by the psycho guy .

My mistake, I meant Shojo. I don't have the book with me and 3 of the main male characters' names are about the same length and all begin with 'S'.
And Kazuo Kiryama was amazing.
