I thought a thread for posting interesting dreams we have had would be a good idea. Anyway, I have had some truly zany fantasies throughout the fraction of my eighteen years that I remember.
The highlights:
- A crusty, old eighty-year-old sailor took me on his boat, then told me that he is my father. My then-thirty-eight mother came in the room to confirm this. - I spent an entire night running away from Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons, who mistook me as "Bart Simpson with very, very heavy plastic surgery", his own words. - My parents called for a plumber after a pipe in our old house broke. The plumber? Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter.
Now, last night, I had a dream that inspired this thread. You see, I have never left British Columbia in my entire life. As hard as that is to believe, it is true. So, when last night in my sleep I was told by my university that we were all going on a happy field trip to Asia, I was elated and accepted right away.
The site?
Kandahar, Afghanistan.
Yes, not just Afghanistan, but Kandahar, the city most affected by the war, the one where land mines, roadside bombs and Taliban snipers are most prevalent.
Fun times!
I was also dreadfully afraid of going on an airplane for the first time in my life, and of course our destination, when the teacher bluntly told the students:
"If you don't want to step on a land mine and become a Big Mac or a Big Xtra, whatever your choice, I prefer the Xtra personally because it's not that dirty, then don't move when we land until we've cleared the area for mines. If you take one step before we clear, you'll be a Big Mac or a Big Xtra."
No joking. That is what he said.
Mercifully, I woke up right before we got to the airport.
So, go back to your memories and conjure up some crazy dreams!

'Sup. But seriously that dream is hilarious. The teachers line made me laugh. I don't dream that often, but when I do they are messed up. The last vivid dream I had was one where I was in a car with two people and a baby, The baby was in the front seat and in a baby booster. Suddenly, the car crashed, the baby was sent flying and smashed into the dashbord. The car then started to fill up with its blood. Then I woke up in a cold sweat. Thank God.

Disturbing dreams make me wake up in a cold sweat.
This one belongs to my mother, not myself, but it is noteworthy:
The night before the school shooting at Columbine in Colorado in 1999 (hopefully most of you know about that), my mother dreamed that my middle school was in an almost exact situation, with two boys in trenchcoats, who had corresponded online to set up the shooting. She woke up in a cold sweat, then found out that morning about the massacre. Eerie.

There was a busted plot to pull a shooting at my High School. Crazy kids.
Once, after watching a special on the Military Channel on a particularly useless waste of lives in the Vietnam War- defending a hill which had no stragetic use from the Vietcong, and we gave up the hill about a week later, and contained the worst friendly fire incident of the war. (bomber mistook flares and bombed friendlies.)
I had nightmares and had trouble sleeping for the next week, dreaming I was in the muddy swamps under heavy fire with artillery shells exploding everywhere. Shitstorm.

I have three dreams to tell, first two from when I was really young;
-I had a dream where the skeleton from Goosebumps was tickling me and wouldn't stop. I kept yelling for my mom who I thought was in are living room because I could see the lights on out there, but she never came. And thinking about it, if I had a way to go look out at the livingroom in that dream, it would have been a bloody mess. -Another one needs a little back story. I used to have a glow in the dark Predator action figure (didn't know what it was at the time but thought it looked cool). Well, in the dream, my grandparents had just bought a big new house and they were showing me and my mom around. Well, we came to a room and they all of a sudden stopped talking and stood there like they were in a trance, and my mom disappeared. Next thing I knew I saw her headless body stand next to a bed in the room, and instead of freaking out, I asked where her head was. I then saw her head at the edge of the bed, and next thing I knew, a giant version of the Predator figure stood up, with my mom's head attached to his finger. It was at this point I woke up. -This dream is kind of more recent. I was on a helicopter hovering of a church I sometimes go to on wednesdays for this club thing, with Chucky the Homicidal Doll. Yep, and I was fighting him and knocked him off.
There are also to other dreams that I remember having that were almost exactly alike, but I can't remember the details.

I have a re-occurring dream that I'm back in HS (not always my own, but in a HS again). Funny thing is, I'm always my age (24) but I'm able to fool everyone and pass for whatever age my grade is for.
Weird.

I had a dream once that the Earth was being invaded by green human like aliens and that they were going to destroy the human race. But the extremely hot princeses of the alien race fell in love with me and we started dating and we got married ending the war between the two planets. the rest of the dream shows me and my hot alien wife living happily in texas with our two children, a boy and a girl. the dream continues as a clip show of the highlights of my life, my babys first steps, my son going of to colledge, my daughter getting married, me having sex with my alien wife. ;D Finaly the dream ends with me on my death bed my two chilldren are full grown adults and me holding my wife's hand smileing as I say my final words "I love you". She says smileing "I love you too" and I die. thats when I wake up.

.........................................................................
I've had some pretty freaky dreams of my own, but I don't usually remember my dreams. I can only think of one right now (and I only remember it because I've told it to my family a couple of times in the past and they've reminded me).
When I was still in elementary school, I had a dream where I was being chased by an angry rhino in a little forest next to the place where I used to live at that time. The rhino had almost caught me, when Obelix showed up and hit it. The rhino flew high to the air and smashed into a big boulder, crushing it.
(I was a big Asterix fan at the time.)
That dream is nothing compared to some of the weird crap I sometimes dream about, but it was the only one I could remember right now. I'll let you know if I have a weird dream tonight.

Speaking about dreams of which someone is reminded by their family, my mother always brings up how at the age of eleven I dreamed that Elmo from Sesame Street had taken over my middle school and chased me across the cafeteria with a pizza slicer. I think this ugly Elmo shirt I got as an eleventh birthday present was responsible for that fantasy.
I converted the nightmare into my first-ever short story for a Halloween project which got good reception and more than a few laughs.

I had a nap a few hours ago. I dreamed that I was a woman pretending to be a man. I was riding a horse and investigating some creepy mines where there were some woman slaves digging for diamonds and other jewels.
After I dismounted my horse, I recalled it to a Poké Ball and hid it into a crack in the wall. Odd.
I watched Mulan on TV not long ago, so that may have been an inspiration to my dream. I'm not sure why I dreamed about those woman slaves, though.

Because it was sexy.
Joking.
I had a dream about the forums last night. The only bit I remember about it was that VF announced he was a girl.
As I said, I don't dream often, but when I do, its fucked up.

I'm not.
But people mistake me for one. It's the long hair.
I remember someone came into the shop where I work and told their child 'To pay the nice lady.' I stayed quiet until I had to tell the woman how much the sweets were. In my deep voice. Her expresson was priceless.
That line was from an old movie, I can't remember what it was called though.
SO HOW 'BOUT THEM DREAMS?
