Depending on how long this idea of mine stays open I figured that this can be a place to discuss how certain mechanics work within the Pokemon Universe.
A thought I've had is how certain pokemon are able to evolve only when traded or when they are traded while holding certain items, also how the use of incense can produce baby versions of certain pokemon
During the trade w/item way: A pokemon that is holding the item gets turned into data and trasported along the ether where their DNA is reconstituted, but along the way certain Pokemon's DNA gets mixed with the molecules of the item they are holding. The resultant mix kickstarts the evolutionary process in Pokemon like Scyther into Scizor.
And for breeding with incense, well the incense gets the pokemon "in the mood"

Good points, I like the evo one. But what about regular trading evolutions? Is it the intense energy? And how are trading evolutions found in the wild?

With regular trade evos (Kadabra, Graveler, etc.) I think the act of deconstruction and reconstruction causes a few quirks that unlock the pathway towards evolution.
And what trade evos can be found in the wild?

They lose their special energy after one use.
One mechanic I always wondered about: Is return your pokemon whapping other pokemon with a rainbow? The more they like you, the bigger the rainbow, which inflicts more damage.

No... I think that they are so cheerful that you are using them in battle that they try harder frustration would be them taking out their anger on the other pokemon

Just looked it up because I forgot you could find Steelix.
I feel that it would be a longer process that would involve the heat and pressure of the earth.
And the stones give off a special form of radiation that gets absorbed by certain pokemon suseptable to it. Then with the stone used, the trainer simply throws it away.

How about the issue of needing running shoes to run? And that your character can keep walking/running/cycling witout any breaks forever.

Well the Running Shoes are just normal tennis shoes that have very very good padding inside them that act as shock absorbers. It alows the trainer to run longer without getting hurt. That my thought anyway.

How does electricity hurt things in the air when they can't complete a circuit?

Well its like lightning striking an airplane. Electirc type moves hurt Flying types because its just like when lightning strikes anyother living organisms. Screws with the nerves. And the circuit goes through the Electric type and passes through the Flyer and back into the Electric type

I think we already have a thread like this somewhere.

I think we already have a thread like this somewhere. If we do, it is pretty much dead. You must have been thinking about a few-page sequence in the Pokemon Black & White thread in which type advantages were brought up.
