That looks quite interesting. I think I'll watch it some day.

So, guess what movie I just watched?
Pokémon Black - Victini and Reshiram.
I liked it. I still don't understand why they decided to make two movies, since the one I saw was a perfectly good movie without need for a counterpart. The plot was as good as you can expect from a Pokémon movie, the villain wasn't really a villain, only misled (just like N) and Zekrom, Reshiram and Victini were all impressive. I was happily surprised when Victini couldn't talk telepathically, because we've had enough of those cute small legendaries who do that. Instead Zekrom and Reshiram could talk, which makes sense, since they're powerful magic dragons and all. I never liked how Dialga, Palkia and Giratina couldn't talk in previous movies.

I saw it on TV but I changed the channel as soon as I heard the Zorua talk.

Sorry, I was just talking about whichever was on Cartoon Network yesterday. Didn't really watch it long enough to get a sense of the plot, but I think I saw a Victini somewhere. Eh, I may be mistaken.

I just came back home from my town's movie theater in a raging blizzard. Well, my frostbites are probably worth it, because I went to see Sherlock Holmes - A Game of Shadows and I loved it. I haven't seen the Sherlock Holmes that came out a couple of years ago, but when I find it, I think I'm going to buy it, if it's anywhere as good as the one I saw today.
Robert Downey Jr. is most familiar to me as Iron Man, but I think he did a better job as Holmes. Of course, I haven't seen him in any other movies (I think) so I can't really state my final opinion of him yet. I know he starred in that one comedy a while ago, but I don't think I'll ever want to see that movie.

The American movie and TV streaming site, Netflix has brought itself over to the UK/Ireland this week. You can sign up for £5.99 (€6.99) per month and stream all the TV shows/movies/anime you can stomach!
I signed up for it as soon as it came over. It's great. I watched one of my favourite movies, Spaceballs through it. Spaceballs is a movie that makes fun of Star Wars/Trek and general sci-fi. It's hilarious and I would highly recommend it. I also watched Supersize Me, a documentary on fast-food. In it, a person eats nothing but McDonalds for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a straight month. Then they started showing a man getting surgery and I shut it off. It was good while it lasted though.

If you were even somewhat interested in supersize me, I'd recommend watching food Inc. which is also on Netflix. My favourite part of Netflix is all the good TV shows they have (FIREFLY), it's fantastic. Anyway I just saw War Horse. It was meh, It was well made but kind of boring, The only scene I was super interested in was the one in no man's land, and the scene with the French girl, just because of how cool the grandfather was.

It's not a new movie, but I just saw Cast Away. Truly it had the most depressing scene in all movie history...poor Wilson.
I'm probably going to wait to see the new Sherlock Holmes on DVD, but I do think you should see the first one, SJ; I enjoyed it.

It's the same in Canada, it's what stopped me from using Netflix for a while. Recently I've been trying to work my way through the iMDb top 250 movies and other movies that everyone knows of but I'd never seen. I'm not exactly a huge movie person so I've only seen about ten so far, but hopefully I'll find more time for it soon.

I haven't seen that movie, and based on your description, I don't think I ever will. I haven't seen Inception either, but I've only heard good things about it, so I probably will watch it some day.
Although I don't like that "-ception" meme it's created. I don't like most memes.

Memes are the worst kind of "humor". It's Family Guy levels of humor, all you do is reference an internet popular thing and expect people to laugh.
Don't let that put you off Inception though. It's a great sci-fi movie. It's directed by Christopher Nolan too, the same guy who did the modern Batman movies.

Memeception > the actual movie
In my opinion, the movie was pretty bad. However I saw it in an extremely sleep-deprived state (on the bus back from an overnight marching band trip three states away), so the plot was sketchy, but it just didn't look entertaining overall.
OK, I guess it was a pretty good movie in critic terms, but I didn't have fun watching it so I don't see the point.
I saw Stripes for the first time recently (on Netflix, to relate to the earlier discussion) and it's great. The last 30 minutes is an abrupt change, but it's done well and the whole movie is hilarious. Later that day I went to the cinema and saw One for the Money. Most people think it's a chick flick (there were 150 women and 15 men at the opening I went to), but it's really not. There is romance, but it's secondary to the mystery and comedy elements (with the occasional action thrown in.) It's also the first film I've seen that is as good as, if not better than, the book. I still have to read the next 18 or so books in the serious, but they're each two hour reads if you're bored enough.
