One of my best friends has extremely close friends in Connecticut who went to that elementary school. Kind of slapped me in the face when I realized it's only an hour's drive from my house.
But I still don't appreciate all this HURR DURR GUN CONTROL rabble going on in the media. That's a separate issue, though, and I wish the affected families all the luck in the world rebuilding their lives.

The media coverage is pissing me off too. I don't mind everyone throwing in their two cents about gun control. What I hate is how many different pictures of the victims' families "need" to be shown.

Doesn't take much for these sorts of things to become politicised. Personally, I wish the media would not cover these as much because they can inspire copycats. As I recall, some of the worst school shootings involved the mindset of "I'm going to top Columbine."
