Well, Pokemopolis has lots of crazy theories, but I mostly believe them. And they're funny! ;D

Only thing that would explain Ash's stupidity would be that he is inbred. Its the only reason that would make sense with his inability to figure out that Team Rockets in thier disguise and that he keeps getting surprised.

No, Ash's stupidity comes from the crack his mother used while she was pregnant. Well, Pokemopolis has lots of crazy theories, but I mostly believe them. And they're funny! ;D I don't know what to feel, you.... can't tell it's a joke article? Anyway, still hilarious. It is not a joke article. Pokemopolis is really extraordinary site with many theories about the anime characters and pokémon. And I believe the most of them. They have excellent evidence about James's homosexuality, for instance. They also say that: 1. Togepi is evil. 2. Pikachu is French. 3. Richie and Todd are the worst characters ever. 4. Tracey is fat. 5. Brock is an eternal virgin. 6. May is a gypsy jailbait. 7. Team Rocket are the true heroes of Pokémon. 8. Koffing is the best pokémon ever. 9. Weezing is the worst pokémon ever. 10. POKÉMON IS NOT A CHILDREN'S CARTOON! Number 10 is the base of their whole site. Go on, go to Pokemopolis and investigate it properly. It's my second favourite Pokémon site (Pokémon-X is the first).

I'm just gonna quickly go over the love article to show you why lots of people think it's a joke.
Simply, Delia was a little tart, Oak is a sordid randy old bugger, and Ash is the fruit of his loins. Okay, first off, this person is using very emotive content and is not speaking with a professional tone.
Exhibit A: A photograph that Delia keeps on her fridge, one of her as a young, innocent, fresh, un-spoiled, pure, naive girl, a younger but by no means less randy, sordid , filthy and dirty Oak......... and that dodgy guy who turns into an Entei. More emotive content. Lots of filler, has YET to prove any of these claims.
Cheerished memories of happier, more carefree, childless times. The discussion generated from this could really support the argument, however they don't go ANYWHERE with it.
Oak would introduce Delia to "special substances" to which she became hooked and of which the Officer Jenny's were paid off to turn a blind eye. An arrangement that still stands. Okay...WHAT?! Where the heck did any of this come from?! That's an incredible claim to make with no evidence to support it.
Hit hard by the news, the young, un-wed mother-to-be turned more to her only friend in the world - crack... Again, WHAT?! WHERE IS THIS COMING FROM?!
Anyways, you can probably see a trend by now. It's quite funny because they present those pictures as evidence, but instead of using them for that purpose, they actually draw MORE unproved claims from them. The rest of the article goes on like this and I could poke at just about every sentence in this entire article, but I don't have the time. Oh, also note that they did not even attempt to prove a single thing. Anyway, that's it.

Yes, what D.C. said. And that by definition, is a joke article. And it's a children's cartoon, dude. it aired on kids WB. The site is obviously for laughs. Not to be taken seriously.

I could turn this into a real argument, but I don't want to do it... I just say that Pokemopolis has many fans who take them very seriously indeed. Their episode guides are the funniest thing ever and their character bios are hilarious but they also make sense, if you want to see Pokémon as a cartoon NOT for kids. The site is really funny, but it has its own message to give people: Pokémon is not a children's cartoon. You don't have to believe it. But you still could check it out. This should give you more specific information about the meaning of Pokemopolis: www.pokemopolis.net/frames/intro.htmP.S. None of this discussion belongs here, so should I make a new thread about Pokemopolis?

Nah, leaving the discussion here should be fine. I dislike disrupting the flow of conversation. I believe it should occur naturally. Also, just because a lot of fans take the site seriously, doesn't mean they should or that the site should be taken seriously, it means just that: that the fans take it seriously. Note: I'm not bashing the site or anything. I'm just saying, it seems like most of the articles weren't meant to be serious, and weren't actually supposed to be theories. It seems more like they're there just to give us a chuckle at their interesting(albeit skewed) interpretation towards various occurrences in Pokemon. I mean think about it...What evidence is there that Delia ever used crack? That Oak and her had any kind of adult relationship? The evidence, Wright, where is the evidence? Pokemon not a kid's cartoon? Once again, where's the evidence? Cite some of their actual claims, and see if they back those up with evidence or at least discussion. Honestly, all we truly know about Satoshi's intentions when creating Pokemon is that he was some guy who loved catching bugs as a kid, but lost the opportunity when his local forests were cut down. He saw that kids started spending so much time indoors and had lost their adventurous spirits, he created a game inspired by his childhood memories of exploration, catching various fascinating bugs, and just having new and exciting experiences. They may not have much evidence, as you call it, they have just spotted some things that seem to support their theories in the anime episodes... That's what makes the episode guides so entertaining.
And the Pokémon not being a children's cartoon... They mention some of it in that intro link I gave you. They have found things in the anime that are more of an "adult" theme rather than something for kids. I believe kids enjoy Pokémon and they can watch it safely, even though Pokemopolis's message is the exact opposite. I started watching Pokémon when I was seven or something. In later years (and after reading Pokemopolis) I have noticed some grown-up humor in the anime that I didn't see there before.
I believe that Satoshi Tajiri did Pokémon for kids. I can't argue that. Kids love Pokémon and some of the adults love it too, if they see it in the way that people in Pokemopolis do.

As frustrating and stupid I find this and how I can go on and on pointing out every little detail that's wrong with this, I figure this video will do a much better job explaining it. (I know this is an old post but there are still kids thinking "OH HEY GUYS LOOK. POKEMON IS A LIE BJERFRJSDNJNS.") www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vq-d67pwbPU&feature=player_embeddedBtw. That person who keeps mentioning Professor Oak and Deliah. The whole son thing. I'm not saying Ash is not his dad, even though I disagree. I'm just going to say. You are an obsessive eldershipper. Please. Stop enforcing your shipping on other people. Those are the worst shippers.
