Okay, first of all. pokemon red and green came out. THEN they made Red and blue, which was a remake of the two and was much better. THEN they made yellow, which started the tradition of always making a third game. the origional red and green was never released outside of japan. So for everybody besides japan, red and blue was the first pokemon game. THATS why the remakes for the GBA where known as firered and leafgreen.
