Hidden Power? Personally it's not exactly my favorite move, but it does have a 100% hit rate. It's hard to track what it does because each pokemon you teach it to gets a different effect...or something like that. I wasn't too imperessed so I never use it. On the other hand, I'm still seeing if I can teach a Poochyena like Rocky the move Metronome through breeding

Hidden power is good only if you use it against an opponent that the type will be 4x power.
For example: Charizard's hidden power is grass, however since it only has a power of 50 it won't be too useful against a Blastoise (water), however it will be good against a Quagsire (water & ground).

Well that's a better answer than mine ^^; I suppose using it more than a handful of times has its advantages.

GAWD you guys don't know ANYTHING about hidden power!
A) Dave, Charizard's hidden power isnt always a constant grass-type 50-powwer attack.
The TYPE and POWER of hidden power is based completely on a hidden value ijn the game. The power rating can range anywhere from 10-70, and it can be any type.
So, if you, say, wanted to teach your sceptile a good water type-attack or something, but couldn't find any good TM's for it, then HP is the way to go (note: I've actually seen an HP Fire on a sceptile, and it works really well). Well, it's only really useful on net battle and other simulators where ypou can control it. Otherwise its virtually impossible to get the perfect hidden power on a pokemon.

Here is a unkown you can kill...it's name is bigbboy1234 and whats unkown is why it hates unknowns thus you must kill it bieng the fact its unkown but the twist is your the unknown so you must kill your self but then it would become unknown to other users that you died thus it becomes an unknown on your hit list but you'll be dead thus leaving it an unknown forever to be unknown..hmm...quiet the dilemae.
