Yeah Suggestions for rules: 1) Best 2 of 3 matches! A lucky win in one game costing you the tournament would really suck (*cough*RAZEK*cough*) 2) Only 6-6 single matches, no double battles. WE're all most experienced in single battle so why try and embarrass ourselves with different rules? 3) Elimination tournament, with the winner moving up and the loser being eliminated (for added fun, add a seperate bracket for the losers. Winner of the losers bracket can take on the winner in the winner's bracket!) 4) We need someone to keep track of the matches, who won, who lost, and just what the hell is going on! (Or is daveshn already taking that role?) Oh sanother rule: NO CHANGING TEAMS DURING THE TOURNAMENT!! Use the same team in each match during the tournament, please!! I say that mainly because everyone knows my team thoroughly and given the chance to change their team will bring out a Banov-counter team against me! 1)Luck is half of skill. If we do 2 out of 3 for normal matches because of lucky breaks, that would be like saying we have to redo every match where a move misses when the opponent didn't do an accuracy modifier. 2)Some of us happen to be quite skilled at double battles. Not to be rude but, if you don't want to compete in the double battle competition (or any other competition), you don't half to. 3)I'd prefer a round robin because there are only 7 of us that mainly battle there. (Myself, banov, bigboy, Demonic, Kool, Razek, and Lance) and I don't feel like figuring out who would get the bye. Also, with round robin and my scoring method, a "lucky win" as you call it wouldn't end someone's chance of winning the overall tournament. 4)I figured we could all go on the honor system, just have some paper and pen or pencil beside you and keep track of your wins. 5)If we aren't changing teams then we'll have to disallow spectators and that would be boring if you are waiting for your next opponent to be done battling. Remember, both people can change teams in between battles so you can have a team ready that would counter the counter of your first team.

Fine, round robin will be fine but if givwen the chance people will be changing their teams to fight mine which would really suck. I don't want to counter their counter because that takes the fun out of the tournament; its not a race of skill, its who has the best counter for someone else's counter. excuse me when i say that it would suck majorly.

I'll consider some stipulation on the changing teams. But, two things for the record, 1-Everyone can change their team challenger or challenged, 2-It really hurts your argument when you say that you don't want a rule because it makes your chances of victory decrease.
EDIT:Here's an idea you can change teams as many times as you want, however, you can only watch a match if you have already faced both of the people who are battling. That way if you won your last macth by a hair or lost horribly you may want to change your team and you won't be able to build a team to counter some else's since you don't know their strategy.

Basically it means that using your regular team will probably land you in deep trouble. It actually promotes pokemon team diversity in that if you use your normal team people will know what to expect. Instead you should use an original and creative team that no one else has thought of as of yet. That's how you win tournaments after all.
Only 4 posts till 2000
EDIT: YES I AGREE WITH YOUR NEW IDEA AND I'M NOT WASTING ONE OF MY PRECIOUS FEW POSTS UNTIL 2000 TO SAY IT!

1) Best 2 of 3 matches! A lucky win in one game costing you the tournament would really suck (*cough*RAZEK*cough*) lol and I still have that match on record but it was totally first time luck on my part time is running out people, fix up your teams.

The rules have been edited to account for the new team rule.
