My crappy old version of photoshop has no "multiply" function, methinks. But I still might attempt this.

It must be something to do with my PC then. I used a colour, and it came out black!

I've got a quick question, if I do a printed and traditionally colored picture, can I scan it in and submit it online instead of having to mail it? Trust me, you'll be able to tell I didn't use a computer
