ultra balls are really weak against legendaries. why? i have caught a articuno and a groudon with a great ball, and a regigigagas with a heal ball, a few with a master ball, and a couple with the dusk ball. but non with the so-called ultra ball. what's up with that?

What are you talking about... I've caught all my legendaries with nothing but Ultra Balls. Though it takes about 30 of them >_>

I normally just use dusk balls seeing as most legendaries like hanging about in caves

well... the great ball catches were allin 3rd gen games, no dusk balls, and i had cycled through about fifty ultra balls on that regigigas before i caught it with a heal ball. A HEAL BALL, the ball with the WORST capture rate in the entire game.

-_- my friend leo caught a rayquaza with a pokeball. He did not even weaken. Start of the battle he throws it and captures it. And it happens twice for him for 1 was in ruby and the other was in Sapphire. I wanted to kick him for that luck. But in a way, I perfer my luck in battle where I can keep attacking first 4 times in a row while paralyzed.

I like Ultra Balls and I catch all my legendaries with only Ultra Balls! Actually I captured my Dialga with only one Ultra Ball. Doesn't that show how awesome they are?

Ultra balls are cool, except when I run out and have to use those horrid repeat balls.

I went into the cave to catch Kyogre and then I saved so just in case I failed I could start over, but when I weakened it I found out I only had 5 Ultra balls and one primer ball. SO I turn off the game and leave the cave buy more balls and come back only to find Groudon had left. So I turn off my game and there I'm back in the cave with 5 Ultra balls and one primer ball. After about an hour or so I still could not catch Groudon, so I reset my game for the final time and for the hell of it throw my little Primer ball. . . and caught Groudon, then my battery died before I could save. . .

Tough luck, dude. In my first Diamond game I captured Uxie and Azelf with Dusk Balls... Because my best friend insisted me to... I wanted to use Ultra Balls, but he said Dusk Balls would work better in caves. And he was right, of course. But I still prefer Ultra Balls.

Sounds like Ultra Balls need steroids. Then they won't be weak balls. They'd be strong balls. So strong, that they would be Schwetty Balls!!!!
