It's true, Martti Ahtisaari, Finland's ex-president was today awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his "important efforts, on several continents and over more than three decades, to resolve international conflicts."
Well done, Mara!

What sort of things did the Finland ex-prez do to earn said prize?
I was gonna call him the "Finnish" ex-prez, but I'm not sure if this is the correct way to refer to such. D: Is it? I might be mispelling it.

I don't think you misspelled it. Answering your question, he is the founder of Crisis Management Initiative, "an independent, non-profit organisation that innovatively promotes and works for sustainable security." You can read about his life and achievements in Wikipedia, here's a link.

Well done, Finland, well done.
You won't be seeing this headline for America for at least four years.

On October 10, 2008 Ahtisaari was announced as that year's recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. The award includes a medal, a personal diploma, and 10 million Swedish kronor ($1.4 million) in prize money.
Who knew peace paided so well. But sadly not as good as crime. On the weekend of August 6, 2005 and August 7, 2005 a gang of burglars tunneled into the Banco Central in Fortaleza. They removed five containers of 50-real notes, with an estimated value of 164,755,150 reais (as on October, 2006 --> US$69.8 million, £38.6 million, €59 million) and weighing about 3,5 tons.

yeah there's lots of them but luckily if you're into peace you don't get hunted down (unless someone wants to assassinate you)
