In a recently released book, we learned that Senator Reid referred to Barack Obama as "light-skinned" with "no Negro dialect." Do you guys think this is something he should step down for? Here're some others opinions:
Personally, I say no. If Obama has said that he doesn't care, it doesn't matter to me.

I dont think it's worth him stepping down, people have said worse and haven't stepped down, plus the the President has forgiven him, so the matter should end there. The only person who it really concerns is the person Reid meant it to.

I don`t consider Obama to be the first black president, I consider him the first mixed-culture `non-melting pot`President. Honestly, he is only half black after all, and he isn`t a stereotypical African-American. Also, you can`t say he isn`t black because none of the black people in America act like the actual Africans living in Africa.

sigh, this is so ridiculous for people to get worked up about... Reid did something stupid (though a bit on the true side), apologized for it and got his apology accepted... let's move on

I could easily go the obvious route and say "Freedom of Speech, beeeetch!" but honestly, I don't care. And America shouldn't care. People criticize our own government all the time, but when you, for some stupid reason, emotionally invest in one, you go all balls to the wall nutjob over the dumbest things, such as when other Americans criticize your precious investment.
It's like when you buy a game console and see someone dis it on a web forum and then you suddenly take it upon yourself to condemn that person for having an opinion.

Holy crap! Hey Lance, how've you been?
It's nice to see that people are being sane and civil here. Debates like this don't stay calm at all on the Serebii forum.

Well Serebii people are the hard core internet pokemon-ers, sleep deprived and popped up on meds, they tend to overreact a bit. But in all seriousness, I think we have a very level minded crew here on this forum.

I don't think it should be something that requires stepping-down. Society is getting too sensitive.
Just look at Rush's recent words on Haiti. Those words outdo Reid's on so many levels.
