Today, the country known as Canada is 143 years old. Now, I know that July 1, 1867 was not as dramatic as some days of independence. Heck, aside from a rebellion in 1837-38 which was ineffective except for spawning a Canadian Broadcasting Corporation documentary featuring men with hilarious beards as well as several clashes involving Native Americans, the lead-up to Canada becoming a country was not that exciting. And Canada did not even get considerable independence from the United Kingdom until after World War I. But, Canada is a country, nonetheless, with a strong heritage, amazing natural beauty, and, for all its coldness most of the year, some fine, mild summers, a perfect time to celebrate a nation which, while it may be ridiculed for various reasons, is overall a peaceful, fun place in which to live.
So, if you have anything at all to say about the world's second-largest country in area, from the northern tip of icy Nunavut to the car factories of Ontario to the forests of British Columbia to the fog of Newfoundland, go ahead on this 143rd Canada Day, the 143rd birthday of a country whose heritage likely blessed you Pokemon fans with Bibarel, and say it.

I find hats which are larger than the wearer quite entertaining.

We are larger and on top. If we were in prison, America would be our birch. (silly filter is silly) Beautiful speech, VF.

England is like our big brother. It want's nothing to do with us, but if we ask it for help its always there.
