With Thanksgiving weekend coming up (Nov. 24-27) and everyone having school off at the same time, we have the opportunity to have a netbattle tournament.
Understanding that Thanksgiving night, the 24th, isn't an option, we still have Friday-Sunday to do this.
I was thinking there should be three competitions: Single Battle, Double Battle, and Challenge Cup
Before I propose a list of conditions, I'd like to know how many people are interested in this and will be able to get online over the weekend.
**AS OF NOVEMBER 18, AT 2:37 PM EST**
Ok we seem to have enough people who are interested so here are the rules I propose:
-Single battle
•Round robin-everyone fights everyone.
•1 point for wins 0 for loss.
•If two people have same score after everyone is done, person who won the match between the two is considered the winner.
•If three or more people have equal score at the end and person A beat B who beat C who beat A they will have their own round robin contest until a decisive winner is declared
•You are allowed to change your team as many times as you want between matches. However, you may not watch a match in progress unless you have already faced both participants.
•Clauses: Self-KO Clause, Battle Timeout: This is so there are no ties and a person can't stall for victory.
•No Ubers or Legendaries
-Double Battle
-Challenge Cup
•Round robin 2 out of 3-everyone fights everyone at least two times and at most three winner between the two is the first person to win two out of the three matches.
•1 point for wins 0 for loss.
•If two people have same score after everyone is done, person who won the match between the two is considered the winner.
•If three or more people have equal score at the end and person A beat B who beat C who beat A they will have their own round robin SINGLE ELIMINATION contest until a decisive winner is declared
•If either team consists of the following pokemon they are allowed one free turn* if needed to switch and show that he has one of the following pokemon and ask that the match be restarted.
Feebas
Magikarp
Weedle
Kakuna
Caterpie
Metapod
Wurmple
Cascoon
Silcoon
*A free turn requires the opponent to switch his pokemon or do a move that will have no effect.
•Ubers and legendaries are acceptable because, their move sets can be just as weak as they are powerful.
These rules are all open to debate and I will continue to edit them until we come to a consensus so long as there are good reasons for the rules to be debated.
