After reading a newspaper, I forgot that sensationalism over nothing is a problem. Biggest example is the Republican nominations. Yes, it's important to choose the best contender, but the way some of these papers headline who's in the lead every week is inconsistent and annoying.
"SANTORUM OMG" "ROMNEY UP FRONT" "WAIT NO LOL GINGRICH IS" "RON PAUL? WHO'S HE?"

I thought I could avoid this as I did TF2, but nope. So since the advertisements boast about its millions of players, is there >1 person on this forum that plays this game?

That's all I have for now. I'll probably post again because my memory is horrible. And thanks for reminding me of AZ. I haven't read that in a while, used to be one of the main comics I followed. Don't worry about horrible memory. The internet is just too big to memorise every web comic. In fact, I forgot about VGCats, which I liked during high school. But now it doesn't really update as much anymore. Haven't seen Rare Candy Treatment in a while, neither.

Spamtard - I know we aren't supposed to vote for ourselves, but since this one's kinda' insulting, can I vote for me? I'll think about it. I'd probably say okay just because you have a solid majority so far. @all - You are free to modify any time before the deadline, in case I didn't state it clear enough in my original post. This is a change from the past years.

Did I not do this yet? It appears I didn't. Rules are as follows:
1: No self-nominating. Don't vote for yourself for any category.
2: Your vote is final after the deadline. You are free to modify any time before the deadline, which is a change from the past years.
3: Vote for every category. Anybody who fails to do so will be ignored. New guys can pick somebody that they think fits best, but veterans have no excuses.
4: Only pick one person per category (you can still choose the same person for multiple awards).
5: No complaining. It gets you nowhere..
The categories are mostly the same for the entire 2011 year.
Funniest member - Funniest member.
Most missed member - Member you wish would randomly pop out of a cake.
Most creative - Best artist, really. Anything originally created by this member is fine.
Best new person - Only a member who joined in 2011.
Most improved - Gotten better over the year. Don't take this as a huge insult if nominated - at least people say you improved.
Spamtard - Treats the forum like a /b/ away from /b/. Doesn't necessarily have to be a troll or dislikable.
Proactive moderator - Changed from "best of all time," in light of activity issues. This mod has done the best job at keeping up activity levels during a drought.
Best member overall 2011 - The unquestionable king of the forum in 2011.
DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 10 AT 2359 P.M. GMT.
(Wow, it took me five minutes and I didn't think I had enough time to do it immediately. The internet has officially screwed my internal clock.)

This forum is quite dead. I'm not sure if we even get that 25 posts in three days anymore. When I checked the 25 most recent posts, it dated back to the 10th. Fortunately, this indicates the forum is not dead by any standard, although it's much slower than we remember. What I feel is lacking in this forum is a need to communicate with each other. everything is either minecraft or MLP. I feel if other topics were created it doesn't matter what about it would be a little more easier to do things. even if the forums had more broader sections, instead of having a "games section" why not have a media section where TV books and the like can be discussed. the there can be a general forum for the Comic, the podcast and anything else related to those two, then there could be your Art Section for fan fiction and Fan art and what not, and then on the side and Other section for everday things they don't fit in anywhere else. Albeit this requires a complete remodel on how the forum is set up now but I feel if there was more organization at hand it would improve things. Because the main problem now is the lack of threads that last. and the lack of new threads coming in. That's part of the problem. Once in a blue moon, a different thread will be created not relating to MLP or Minecraft but won't last. I was interested in gauging what other forumites were interested in discussing. Although I don't know how much organisation will impact the activity level, it wouldn't hurt to rename a forum or two.

It has come to the mod squad's attention that the forum could be more active. Although there is no consensus as to whether the forum is dead or not (probably not if we get at least 25 posts in 3 days), it would be nice to have some more activity, even if each person lurking made some sort of input.
Suggestions would be nice. Non-lurkers welcome to share ideas, too.
Also don't worry I'll have something up to (hopefully) up forum activity soon.

I was talking about Panda. I suppose it could mean mjc depending on how you interpret it, though only daveshn and I ever exchanged words with him and everybody else hears about him through second-hand contact.
Anyway, no offence meant, missingno. I remember when I got my first job, Cleaning kennels, which sucked. Then it was Tex-Mex fast food (Taco Bell and Taco Bueno). They sucked. Now I work at the country club and if you get the rich people drunk enough, they start tipping well.
Moral of story - work where you'll enjoy it. Rich people being regulars is an added bonus.

That's just because half the posts don't revolve around a certain someone nowadays.

And us Finns open our presents on 24th instead of 25th, so that's nice too. Quite a few of us 'Muricans do that, too. Including our family.

To start off with an image: What are y'all doing for the holidays? It hardly seems like Christmas to me, what with the lack of snow and not being a kid anymore. That's not gonna stop me from trying to reconnect with family and friends though.

If you want to tell it to us, make a new thread for it. Don't post on a thread that's been dead for well over a year. This man is wise. Locked.
