I am interested in the education systems of all of your countries. Do you like them? Do you know ways they could improve? Anyone going to colleges or boarding schools would be awesome to hear about. We have the best colleges and the worst secondaries. College is becoming too overpriced. If I didn't know any better, the bookstore has a book racket going on when they charge $120 for a book and either give you 10% of that to nothing during exchanges. Some of the classes are more interesting, though.

People just seem to think because people look up to them that they are incapable of doing anything wrong. It's not a good thing at all. Very on point. Well, we have an election coming up in the next two years and the problem is we are given the choice between a red headed clown (no not Ronald) and a balding fitness freaked, speedo wearing, moron. In other words we either pick Moron A and die or Moron B and die. In fact I'm not really sure what either would do for our country if re/elected. You accurately described American politics.

Oh yeah, health care sucks here, too. Doesn't Ireland have universal health care though? America's the only FW country without it, though we might in a few years. I just want to gauge how it works before hating it unconditionally.
Also the sex abuse thing from Sandusky had parallels to the Church, but now people are exploring how much we idolise college sports because Legendary JoePat got fired and rioting began.

Being in America, I honestly don't know much about the other countries and the current events pertaining to them. For instance, Ireland has the IRA and its continuous struggle. That's about it I know about Ireland, which is still more than I know about Canada, Finland, or whatever.
So, I'd like to know what you think are the biggest current issues in your country so I can get a better understanding. Even if they SEEM obvious, they might not be that apparent to those abroad.
In America:
-Economic issues thanks to the Credit Crunch -Heightened coverage about sexual abuse, especially minors -A feeling of losing prosperity in the international community because of outsourcing -A bunch of Fatty fat Fatties -The "Entitlement" Generation

I loved the Animaniacs as a kid. The 90s were indeed awesome times to be a kid.

This applies not just to PX, but also to other forums I visited. Consider the following:
-It's harder to let things go on forums than real life because you can always go back and reread posts you hate from other members and reignite negative feelings. -It's hard to determine the "slow season" of forum activity. Some forums believe it's during the school year when everybody is studying. Others think it's summer because people travel more often and are away from the forums for an extended period of time. -The typical, average lifespan of a forum member is anywhere from 1-2 years. -Even when the most controversial or disliked members get banned, activity tends to dip. -You hate the posts you made a year ago. ("Oh my god I was so stupid back then") -Internet noobs and preteens are almost indistinguishable. -After a major update, several members will join. About 10% remain active after a year.
There are always "exceptions" to these, and your mileage may vary. What do you think, given your forum/internet experience?

For those unaware, the movement is based off of Occupy Wall Street to protest structural violence and economic inequality. iirc, it's officially "Occupy Together," though it might as well be Occupy everything. There is one in most every major city and was inspired by the Arab Spring. But even the Arab Spring turned violent and so is this. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-15469096Is this a repeat of the 1960s mentality? Have you seen any of these movements in your city? Note: Occupy Omaha was sort of large. if you consider 1000 for a city of 410,000 large.

For those interested, I haven't died or fell off the face of the earth yet. I perpetually lurk and occasionally log in still. Just to make that clear since I haven't really posted that much as of late.
Also hi.
Also also don't leave, venom. You contribute too much to up and leave like that.

I thought the first one wasn't that great, but not bad. Critics on RT think Cars 2, however, IS bad. www.rottentomatoes.com/m/cars_2/How do you feel about the first supposedly sucky Pixar movie? I still plan on seeing it, though I can't say for sure how good it is.

If people watch "Oh! What a Lovely War!" they can learn about WWI in a surreal setting.
Pearl Harbor had a second incident in 1944, the first underwater colour photograph was taken in the 20s, and the bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima (Enola Gay) was built within a matter of miles from where I live.
