This poll is to decide which battle system would be best preferred between everybody. This is because since mjc there has been some debate over which would be more wanted: This will decide it, along with polls in other places.
Here's a full elaboration on each choice:
1) Full Manual EVERYTHING is manual; the regular attack and regular defensive functions are based on timed pressess, along with all special moves
2) Semi Manual (I'm drifting toward this'un.) Basic attack function is automatic as well as most special functions and there is no defense system. To counteract this of course, health gets a boost. Only a couple specified special moves require button presses, but it's desgined so that you don't have to use these moves. Also is easier for me to code for many reasons.
3) FULL Automatic No timed button presses in any special move at all or any basic attac,k or defense function.
Please vote! ;D

Hmm, I'm going for something between 1 and 2. IMO, there should be a TBP (Timed button press) Defense system, and all attacks can have a TPB thingy in order to get a "Critical hit" so if you press the button at the right time you get more attack power. And maybe a few skills require TBP.

Nah, in retrospect defense makes it too easy; mastering defense means you can go through any part of the game totally unscathed. TBP for critical hits sounds interesting, but then once you master that you always are getting critical hits, but at the smae time I'll have to make the game counting on the fact that you'll miss it. Thus the game becomes too easy.

....? The concept is so that what you play is what you prefer. If you plan to play it, then I suggest you give a vote or else later you'll complain to me saying that you want a say in what the battle system would be.

I don't know what you could do about the critical hit thing, but for starters you could make it really frigging hard to get the TBP right, like you only get a split second or two (Maybe like about five steps) to press the button.

Yeah, damage reduction, that's what I was thinking of.

Damage reduction sounds good I guess. It won't be much mind you, but it's good enough for the perfectionist I suppose. Damage addition will be also minimal mind you; both of those I think will be based more on the health/attack power of the species you're fighting rather than your own character stats. Good idee-irs, I'll look into that- assuming that the poll results continue this way, of course. I give this poll until Wednesday and then I'm working off the results. Till' then, I guess I'll focus on overworld functions and stuff.
