You know how TIME magazine selects one person to be the "Person of the Year" based upon the degree of influence he/she has on the world? In the scope of Pokemon X, I hereby nominate Brendan as the most influential. Why?
As I read the comic today, I noticed that Rocky started out... a bit smarter. Now, he has hallucinations that would only equal Brendan's questionable intelligence. Although I thought Wally fell victim to this, it appears that Rocky is being influenced greatly by Brendan's randomness and haphazard actions.
Therefore, I nominate you, Brendan! Congratulations! ;D

Rocky is only using the hallucination's because, as a pokemon he needs a trainer to tell him what moves to use. Also, the hallucination is the stupid one, not Rocky.

Seems to me that both May and Rocky are the only smart ones of the group.
Brendan has his obvious problems and Wally has his green obsession and his mommy issues.

Brendan's influence in Pokémon-X is sucking intelligence out of everyone. Including Rocky. But that's not all! He's also winning Gyms and fighting Team Magma. So far his achievements have impressed Jim Gui and Steven Stone. Professor Birch is also very fond of him. So I'd say he's quite influential.
My vote goes to Brendan.

Steven Stone could just have a gay crush on Brendan, Jim Gui just like gym battles, and Prof. Brich was retarded before meeting Brendan. How else would you explain his behavior?

I vote for May. She keeps the group together. Wally would just be running around to find green pokemon, her Linoon would still be a zigzagoon and in at the pokemon center with Nurse Wrath, and Brendan would still be wondering what the hell he can do in Littleroot town.

Do you really think so? Firstly, Wally wouldn't have ever caught Ralts without Brendan. And it was Brendan's mission to bring Wally safely to Verdanturf Town too. I don't think he'd "just be running around to find green pokémon" if it wasn't for Brendan. Yes, May has also had some influence over Wally, but I think it's Brendan who gave Wally more confidence. Secondly, May's Linoone wouldn't be at the Pokémon Center with Nurse Wrath even if it wasn't for May. It was a wild pokémon and after being healed it would have been released back to the wild. Nurse Wrath just gave it to May, because she wanted her to beat Brendan. I'm sure that it'd be still a Zigzagoon, though. But going by that logic, Brendan's Combusken would still be Torchic, his Dustox would still be Wurmple, Makit would still be with Elyssa (as a Makuhita) etc. if Brendan hadn't caught or traded and trained them. Thirdly, Brendan most certainly wouldn't still be in Littleroot without May. He had a mission given to him by Professor Birch and he would have finished it even without May. May just decided to follow him. So I really think Brendan is more influential than May. |

The purpose was to discuss the characters in the comic as to who's the most influencial. Please don't call us "DUM" if you won't bother reading the purpose of the thread.  |
