I'm not surprised, but I'm still appalled. Just because it has happened throughout history doesn't mean I'm going to sit down and take it. Even if I can just convince a few aggressive people I know in my real life about the value of peace, I still want to do something. At the very least I can pray for the poor children...

Once again you have made me ashamed of myself when I complain about some petty, unimportant things. Bravo, Venomfrog.
I'm not exactly a pacifist, but I know that trying to stop those horrible killings with force would cause more harm than good. That doesn't mean that I don't want to do anything about it, but there's really nothing I can do. However, if I had a weapon and a chance to kill the one responsible for all that evil, I don't think I could make myself kill him. Like Dumbledore said, killing is not nearly as easy as the innocent believe.
And even if I took the chance and killed him, I'd be killed too very soon in retaliation, and I wouldn't like that.

The amount of retarded 12 year olds on the official minecraft forums. You would not believe how stupid these guys are. they have the reading ability of a preschooler. Some of you may know of the buildcraft mod. It has been said multiple times In big bolded letters that there is no oil, engines, wrenches or anything remotely to do with the energy side of the mod. both in recent posts and in the OP in fact I even made a post saying that it is not been ported over for 1.8 yet. On this same page there has been 3 idiots to post already about the energy mod for it.
No joke, these guys are worse than panda.
EDIT: It keeps happening. I swear to recon, I'm going to reach through my screen and strangle the next person who asks this question.

The Minecraft community is the worst community. It's full of whiny, self entitled twelve year olds. Stay away from it. Just play the game and ignore 95% of your co-players.
EDIT: Just to clarify how bad these people are; I was talking to kas (The guy who makes Painterly) on SA when 1.7 hit. Within five minutes of the update he was getting hate mail telling him to "Hurry the frick up and update." This wasn't just one e-mail, this was several people telling him to update.
Another bad example of the community comes from Toggle on SA. (Toggle made some of the maps that the Yogscast used for their videos. They're pretty expansive and cool.) A few days ago he was contacted by someone on the Minecraft forums telling him that he was going to "Make a retail game that would be based off one of [his] maps. [Minecraft guy] is not asking permission, [Minecraft guy] is just telling you this now. There is nothing [Toggle] can do to stop [Minecraft guy].

these guys are horrible i honestly couldnt believe how ignorant this community is, half of these guys have the iq smaller than the yogscast (ive mentioned on the server how retarded this pair are) it is stunning to say the least Say what you want about the Yogscast, but they are far from stupid. The characters they play in "Shadow of Israpheal" are pretty stupid, yes. But Simon and Lewis themselves are pretty smart themselves. They managed to "play" (I'm putting play in inverted commas until I find a better word for it.) the modding community brilliantly. You know the Yogsbox mod pack? That was the Pudding Pack, done by Puddding Huxtable on SA. Pudding got a lot of heat from the community for putting together the mod pack without their permission. He wasn't distributing it to everyone, just a private audience on SA. (The modders claimed he was breaking their "copywrite" or something, even though they themselves were breaking Notch's copywrite by deobsfucting his code. He wasn't gaining any money off it either.) The whole argument boiled down to "Modders were angry because Pudding was "depriving" them of their ad.fly revenue." (Which, again, they shouldn't be getting.) In comes the Yogscast. They talk it over with Pudding. The result of this conversation was the Yogbox. The Yogscast knew that if they put their name on it modders would cambour to them shouting "INCLUDE MY MOD! INCLUDE MY MOD!" Sure, there were one or two people who still didn't like it. That's a whole different story though. I will agree with you on one point though, the Minecraft community is really, really awful.

No i did see that point, i just didn't feel like commenting on it is, the main reason i don't watch their videos is because of the fact they have to act stupid to get a fan base, they are just doing what modern high schools have been like for the past 3-4 years. I just fail to see what is so funny about 2 people acting so stupid.

Well, actually, I just thought Simon was the one acting stupid (though I'm not caught up; last episode I saw was SoI 17 or so) and Lewis was the straight man. It seemed like that had the classic comic duality setup, which is why I watched it.

^^^^ Exactly, it's not all "HURR DURR DERP" none of it is. They have their moments. One is "smart", the other causes a load of trouble. Acting stupid has been a stable of comedy since forever. Look at any great comics from years ago, from modern times, and look closely at their act. The Marx Brothers, stupid stuff; Charlie Chaplain; Stupid guy getting in stupid situations; Dumb and Dumber, Stupid people; Horrible Bosses; The stupid guy is one of the best characters. Stupidity is comedy. It always has been, always will be. EDIT: Allow me to be a bit more clear. Personally I'm not a huge fan of theirs. I watch them for the custom maps, mod reviews and update... updates. I don't watch their SOI series. I don't like stuff that is obviously scripted, which is what SOI is 90% of the time. The early episodes were great because they really seemed like they didn't know what the hell was going on. Now they act as if they don't know and that just grates me. I think they are a lot funnier if you let them loose a little, don't keep them restrained to the script.

Can't forget Abbot & Costello, the Three Stooges and every Adam Sandler movie ever made. As well as Tim Allen, and Jim Carrey.
So many successful comedians and actors used stupidity and slapstick as their main schtick. Don't be hatin'.

So many successful comedians and actors used stupidity and slapstick as their main schtick. Don't be hatin'. I knew I forgot someone. I kept calling Curley "Curley Marx" in my head. I knew that was wrong so I left it out. I was also considering adding Jim Carrey but I don't think he has done anything decent that wasn't The Mask or Ace Ventura. Bruce Almighty was okay I guess. (Same goes for Adam Sandler. The last decent thing he did was Zohan.) A perfect example of the "Stupid = Funny" rule is my favorite comedian, Lee Evans. On stage he makes stupid voices, runs around from one side to the other to over-exaggerate his point and pulls all sorts of stupid faces and odd shapes with his body. What do you get out of it? Hilarity. The only reason I didn't mention him was because he's English and you guys probably don't know of him.

I understand that stupidity is comedy in fact I agree all the comedians you've listed are hilarious, I've seen 3 stooges I've watched the goonies i even enjoy monty python, but what I'm getting at is,they're actually funny when they're stupid. The thing is for The yogscast is the fact they do what every commentator SHOULDN'T do and that is for the fans they're no-longer doing it because they enjoy making these videos they're doing it because they're popular. That is why their not funny. Because they've in le-mans terms, sold out. Something all thos other comedians you've listed haven't done they've stuck to what they know and did it because they enjoy doing it, yeah the fans are great and so is the money but that is not what keeps them doing it.
