Still hesitant to agree. Dont even have any new info on Gen V yet.

Corocoro will supposedly have a huge Gen V coverage in their next article. The fact that Nintendo is announcing this now seems like enough for me to believe it really will be on the 3DS.

Pokemon in 3D. I just hope that the 3DS includes a port for Gameboy Advance games. If it does, I may trade in when it comes to the US.

The Nintendo 3DS sounds like a cool new console but backwards compatibility should be there.

Pokemon in 3D... I will probably get used to it, as long as the game mechanics are not changed too much.

It will apparantly have the processing power of a game cube. That shows how far gaming technology has come in the past few years.
SJ, this 3DS is not a DSi or a DSiXL. This is like the Game boy advanced after the Game boy Colour. It isn't a marketing gimmick. Don't pass it off as one.
There won't be a GBA slot. If the DSi got rid of it then there is no hope for it. Keep your DS light or GBA to play those games.

I really hope that the Gen V games will be compatible with DS Lite...

They probably won't. For example, you cannot play GBA games on the GBC, this should be the same. You should however be able to play DS games on the 3DS though.

So far all sources are saying it has DS compatibility. However, I'm going to keep my original DS so I can have GBA-3DS crossovers in pokemon.

I'm wondering how they're going to do joysticks and still have it close like a DS does.

The power of a gamecube in the palm of your hand. Honestly, as long as the FIRST model they release does not have up the butt hinge problem, like the DS Lite, I will be happy. I've gone through 3 lites and I treat my DS's better then my family >_> Also, it must not break easily in any other way, and someone must make a Flash Card for it ASAP
