Well folks, I'm finally home, back in good ol' America. My fight in Afghanistan is over, and all I have to do is get my discharge from the Army and outprocess. Also, I'm united with my copy of Pokemon Black and my AWESOME 3DS. Since I've got a brand new life ahead of me, and Pokemon Black is almost completely new and unknown to me, I thought I'd combine the two. I'd play through Pokemon Black as if I were living it, and I'd mesh my rediscovering myself, what my life means, and what my future will become with the stories and adventures I'll have in the game. So, presenting to you all, the grand opening OF...! Unova: An Introspective through PokemonThere's some formatting work to be done. I'll need a really big picture to accomodate bigger screens, it seems, and it's Spring time now, so I'll have to update my fonts and backgrounds anyways.

I read the first part and I really liked it. I'll surely read the whole thing, just keep writing it.

I'm glad you like it, SerJu! Especially you: I've noticed that you don't shy away from being blunt in your criticisms, so your approval definitely means something to me. Of course, I'm having a little bit of difficulty keeping it from just turning into a self-glorifying fic with the author avatar as the main character, kicking butt and saving the world. I'm definitely going to try to deviate from Pokemon Black's story a bit, inject more real life than game into it whenever I can (as in the case of today's update), using Pokemon more as the backdrop and catalyst than as the focus. The natural urge is to write about ever minute event, ever capture and battle and in-game happening. Pulling away from that will have to be my biggest challenge, but that's what the Twitter's for.

New part up as of Yesterday. With the Dreamyard taken care of, Striaton City can be put behind us.

I read all the parts I hadn't read before. Good work.
And congrats on managing to defeat Cilan without Pansear. Most of my friends on Pokemopolis forums needed their elemental monkeys to beat the first Gym - just like me.

An enjoyable read, looking forward to reading what's to come.
And grats on beating the gym without an elemental monkey, certainly not easy without it. >_<

Thanks. I knew about the monkey at the Dreamyard, but figured that I'd have no reason to know about that in the game. It made for a more exciting battle that way, so hopefully that made for a more interesting read. Just released 006 - The Daycare. I'm proud of this one: it starts intermingling personal philosophies into Pokemon, I'd like to think the battles are getting less messy by this point, and I get to feed my fetish of integrating in-game dialogue. I'm glad you guys like it, but by all means. If you have criticism, feel free to help a guy grow ;D

I just realized a moment ago that I had forgotten to read the latest part, so I read it now. (A month late!)
Vincent's findings of the day-care kids' growth and development was a nice read that got me thinking. I've often wondered why some kids who are clearly younger than ten have pokémon of their own in the games, but now I get that the pokémon are not only for their protection and company, but also for helping the kids mature and to learn to take responsibility.
Good work. I don't have any criticism, but I do wonder why you call Team Plasma Liberationists. That's who they pretend to be, sure, but they don't call themselves that in the game.
