I have an Olds 'advanced student' trumpet I got as a hand-me-down from my older brother. I play it in the school marching band and concert band, so I've played a bunch of marches and modern pieces (you know, the songs that try to get a message across but it fails utterly since music can only create moods and not situations). I've got a standard 3C mouthpiece as well as a resonant 7C (It's shaped oddly, supposedly so it can handle more sound or something. I just use it when the 3C doesn't feel right.) A Denis Wick straight mute, a stonelined cup mute. The only non-school pieces I've bothered to learn are Sweet Chariot and Hava Nagila, but I've been looking to expand my repatoir. Edit: Also, what I CAN play is almost any brass instrument. Once you learn to play one, you can more-or-less play them all. The only problem is variations in fingerings and the guestimation of playing a trombone.

The harmonica. And that's really it.
I, however, can sing. When people overhear me in public they tell me to join choirs or go to Canadian Idol. If I find a friend in my area who's a good guitarist, I'll sit down with him or her and, if our ideas for songs correlate, we'll form a band. XD

Guys all these instruments are Boring! Guitars, and violins, and trumpet, and vocals. All would be NOTHING if not for the amazing triangle that makes everything sound 120% more awesome.
I played triangle (and all those other random instruments like woodblock and gong) until 8th grade, since in 9th grade Marching Band is mandatory and I decided that I sucked a lot and didn't really care enough to get better.
In the concert the conductor made it a point to look directly at me and mouth NOW all 2 of the times I hit the triangle in the song...I missed the beat both times.

I always thought schools that did that were weird. To be in our marching band, you have to be in a concert band (which is a graded class). In some schools, to be in a school band, you have to be in the marching band. Never understood that. I think that's what Kingston does, which is why theirs is so massive, but I think ours is one of the best in New York because only people who WANT to do it enroll... and we still have a rather large band.
