Well, if he effectively does, then Magikarp may learn Flail, a strong attack when properly used.

Well, if he does he's gonna be glad, he'll have one good water pokémon. Unless he gives it the everstone he found. "Good" is not an adjective I'd use to describe Gyrados.

gyarados? it depends on the level of training you have given it, and what attacks you have given it, making you the trainer. ;D

I was thinking more along the lines of "weak." Umm..I don't know about you, but the Gyarados I have trained have not turned out weak. I had one in my party in Red/Blue and Gold/Silver trough the Elite 4 and they did quite well.

I never really trained one until after the Elite 4 and then they turned out really well, with their Dragon Rage and Hyber Beam, That and Surf are 3 moves I've always used a Gyrados.
Mostly though the moment Gold and Silver hit I've been using an Espeon ^_^

yeah, and i didnt cheat on training magicarp with that stupid "red" gyarados. that was a pathetic move.
