Hey. Whenever I go to a new forum, I like to give an informed opinion of the site. In this case the comic. Let me start by saying that webcomics go though a lifespan of their own. From figuring out the jokes in the start, to getting crusted and boring in the end. I haven't played Ruby and Sapphire yet, but I plan to, and I know the general storyline. Oh, and I have played Red and Blue.
O.K. let's start with the bad things
1) Some of your jokes are so much funny as repetitive. I'm talking about the nurses here. I don't find that funny, so much as dumb.
2) You have big plot devices in the story. Rocky, in particular. I think that Rocky isn't a character so much as a way for <I mispelled the main character's name because I'm an idiot> to win battles.
3) Many, Many, battles that take a week to complete. This is a foreseeable reaction, that should come with the comic. However, you have avoided using too many battles to a minimum in this comic. That's a good thing.
4) The speak of some characters is so twisted, that I can't understand them sometimes. Having accents is a necessary part of much dialog, but I fell like you go overboard with it.
5) Most of the jokes are aimed at someone who has played the game. This isn't really a bad thing, so much as it limits your audience a bit. Don't change your comic because of it, but keep it in mind.
O.K. for bad things, they weren't really bad. Noe time for good things
1) Many twists to the storyline, Rocky, however much of a plot device he is, still makes the cut for an interesting character. Two doses of the pokerus was a great and fresh idea. You had to give someone the 3rd starter pokemon. Wally ended up not as a filler character, but a very dynamic character in his own right. Good job on Wally.
2) The jokes are more often about teenager humor, and pervertism (is that a word?) than about the game sometimes. That's a good thing, it makes more fun to read.
3) You use a good verity of jokes about the attacks and pokemon in battle that's a very good thing.
4) The secondary characters are very fun to read most of the time. I love laughing at Monty and Igor. Prof.Birch is also a riot to listen to.
5) Your in your comic frequently. This is a new and fresh approach to comics, because you often get the say the joke, as opposed to <I mispelled the main character's name because I'm an idiot>.
6) Some of your jokes are pokemon based. This is a good and a bad thing. I think the best joke in your comic is when Monty says "Smell ya later." I laughed my head off at that. The point of the comic after all is to make fun of pokemon, so don't stray from that point.
All in all, I like the comic, and will tune in every Mon/Wed/Fri. You have really brought some interesting humor in a world that has been made fun of the same way too many times.
Thank you for making PokemonX.
