umm ok but wait how does ash even age? Could it be pokemon stops time? No. Even if you watch the anime, you'll notice how Ash's voice deepens to reflect his aging... (not including the fact of the cast change...)  Ash is still 10 years old and brock still well 20? That means the anime has no time? It does too have time. It's very simple. Whenever night becomes day and visa versa, time has elapsed. Therefore, time indeed DOES exist in the anime. This is my theory? And wait...the size is wrong for ten! Erm, I still think that they are a bit older than 10. |

(not including the fact of the cast change...) In Finland Ash's voice was the same for years, until in the beginning of Hoenn the voice actor changed. Now the voice is even more childish. Pokémon is not as big thing here as it is in USA and Japan... The voice actors change a lot. I wonder how old Team Rocket is? I read somewhere that they were 17 in the very beginning of Pokémon, so how old are they now? How many years have passed from the day when Ash got Pikachu from his Daddy and started his journey? Ash doesn't look much older than 15 or 16. This thread's point was to discuss the Pokémon-X ages, by the way. ;D |

in a forum or whatever on pokemon.com it says that all the characters are still at the age they started their journey with.

well i think the ages they have in pokemon X are more logical, i know it's some sort of anime/japanese(no fense to japanese) character thing but, how the heck are the characters ten? they look way to mature to be ten!

Well I don't know why this was bumped, but whoever thought that Ash is twenty needs to read the word, 'anniversary', again. It's a 10 year anniversary because it's been 10 years since pokemon was invented, not because 10 years have passed in the anime.
