I think Emerald is set something like 4 years after red and blue? So Wally might just be a late bloomer teenager. Actually, the official Pokémon timeline states that FRLG happen at the same time as RSE. DPPt and HGSS happen three years later, followed by BW an unknown number of years later and then B2W2 and XY happen at the same time two years after BW. So logically, Wally should be at most one year younger than Red and Blue, since Red was 11 in RBY/FRLG and Wally was confirmed to be 10 in ORAS. Of course, we have to take into account the fact that every game after XY is set in an alternate universe where Mega Evolution exists. The first five Generations all exist in a universe where the great Kalos war never happened and the ultimate weapon, whose radiation created the Mega Stones, was never built. I suppose it's possible that in the Mega universe, the events of RBY/FRLG (or whatever the next Kanto remakes will be called) happened many years before ORAS. That would explain why Wally still looks like a kid even though Red and Blue look 20-ish, but IMO, it's a pretty weak explanation. Also, none of that explains why Professor Sycamore made such a big deal about Mega Evolution in XY and claimed that it was known to exist only in Kalos. Either he outright lied or Game Freak screwed up big time when they told us in ORAS that the world's first Mega Evolution happened in Hoenn with Rayquaza. And even if that hadn't been the case, Mega Evolution didn't seem like a big deal at all in ORAS despite ORAS taking place years before XY in the damn timeline. I definitely wasn't kidding when I said that these timelines are confusing. One thing's for sure - someone messed up and we just have to live with it.

Wally still wants the shiny Spinda, huh? Realistically, finding it should take forever, but knowing that this comic isn't exactly like the games, I bet this Pokémon is probably the shiny Spinda. Maybe the Spinda are so happy to have their queen back that they won't mind losing their green comrade.

So apparently there will be a Pokémon League in Sun and Moon after all. Also, since there are more than four Trial Captains and at least four Kahunas (one per island), I think they might as well have kept the traditional eight Gym Leaders.
Or maybe not. IMO, it depends on whether or not the player has to battle the Trial Captains. I know the player battles the Kahunas, but I got the impression that the point of the Trials is to test the challengers in other ways than battling. If we have to battle the Trial Captains after the Trials, then they might as well be Gym Leaders.
Anyway, how about those final starter evolutions? I simply love Primarina. I've been on Team Popplio since day one, so I'm glad we got the coolest final evolution. As a Water/Fairy-type, it has only three weaknesses and Primarina will probably be able to learn some nice special attacks. Decidueye looks pretty badass too, but Incineroar didn't impress me much. I always thought Litten was the least original of the Alolan starters and I haven't changed my mind. Well, at least it's not another Firefighter.
Oh, and OF COURSE Cynthia is in the games. Everyone loves Cynthia. It'll be nice to battle alongside her and Wally in the Battle Tree. I just wonder how come Wally still looks like a kid even though Red and Blue appear to be twenty. These timelines are so confusing.

Where to begin? Alola apparently doesn't have a League or Gym Leaders, it has an Island Challenge, Trial Captains and Kahunas. Okay, I'm cool with that. It's nice to finally change the formula a little after 20 years, right? (I still want an evil Team, though.) The Trial Captains look like cool characters and of course their types are Grass, Water, Electric and Fire. I could've seen that coming if I'd known that there would be only four "Gyms" in Alola. Anyway, I'm getting nice Orange League vibes. Maybe this means that Ash will actually win the Kalos League and the anime will get a new protagonist. Alolan versions of Kanto Pokémon are a mixed bag for me. I actually think Alolan Exeggutor looks hilarious and Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales look gorgeous, but their Abilities are pretty horrendous. As for Snowshrew and Snowslash, they are Ice/Steel-types? Really? That's a terrible combination with a double weakness against two common offensive types. Not only that, but they have Snow Cloak too? Unless Snow Cloak has somehow been boosted in this Gen, I don't think I'll train a Snowslash. I'll train an Alolan Ninetales, however, because it's just so pretty.I can't even say how many Donald Trump jokes Gumshoos has inspired so far. Still, it has such great Abilities that I might give it a try. I had a feeling Mudsdale was an evolved Pokémon, so it's nice to see that I was right. Mudbray is the first donkey Pokémon, so it has that going for it. I don't understand why it was overhunted, though. I can't imagine it tasting very good. Minior is a Rock/Flying-type with a cool new Ability and it's also an Easter egg because you won't know what it looks like until you break it open. Neat. I hope it evolves. The new Grass-types don't look like anything special to me. Lurantis is said to be the most beautiful Grass-type and it learns a powerful new move, but I don't care about any of that unless it has good Stats to compensate for its lackluster Ability, Leaf Guard. How many Alola Pokémon have Leaf Guard now? Hopefully it's been boosted. Oricorio is awesome. It can change its type and it has a great new Ability. I just hope that Dancer will allow Oricorio to use the move it was ordered to use even after copying the opponent's Dance move if Oricorio is slower than its opponent. And finally, Z-moves! Maybe they and the Alolan Forms are this Gen's Mega Evolution. If so, then I don't mind. Only a small percentage of Pokémon could Mega Evolve, but EVERY Pokémon can use Z-moves and I love it. Too bad they can be used only once during a battle, but if they won't cause their users to recharge in the next turn, then I couldn't care less. Elemental Hyper Beams and Giga Impacts, eat your hearts out. Despite the new exeggutor form looking like a monstrosity out of some sort of fresh hell, I really like giving old pokemon new forms, instead of making even more new ones. The new pokemon revealed have actually been mostly good so far, because of their abilities if nothing else. That, along with the same old formula finally being changed up a little bit (Looks like we're finally getting out Orange Islands game, kind of), is convincing me to buy this game instead of hold out for a DP remake. I'd still like that remake though. I, for one, want more new Pokémon than XY gave us, but I agree with everything else you said. I've always liked the Orange Archipelago saga in the anime, although I was a little disappointed that Ash only had to battle two of the four Gym Leaders. Luckily, it seems that the player has to perform various trials first and then battle the Trial Captains in SM. Snowslash. Also booo snow cloak is dumb and boring. Yeah... Let's hope Snow Cloak and Leaf Guard are better in SM.

Hyper Training will allow us to raise the IVs of our Pokémon? Now we're talking! Goodbye, breeding! I don't even mind that it will only work if the Pokémon is at level 100, because I always raise my team to level 100 anyway. Now all I have to do is catch Pokémon with the right Natures and leave the rest to Hyper Training and possibly Ability Capsules if necessary. This is a godsend.
Bewear looks kinda stupid, but I can't help but laugh at its name and who knows, it may be better than the previous bear Pokémon. Too bad that Fluffy is just a poor man's Fur Coat. Taking double damage from Fire-type attacks sucks.
Mimikyu is adorable. How could I not love it? I'll definitely train one. Its Ability is basically a free Substitute and that's awesome. Most of these new Abilities in Gen 7 are incredible.
Wimpod is a wimpy bug and it has the Wimp Out Ability. Okay then. Unless it evolves into something extremely badass, I think I'll skip this one.
Comfey seems to be the inanimate object of this Gen. I kinda like that it's a lei, but I can't believe it's another pure Fairy-type that looks like it should be a Grass/Fairy-type. Yes, I know, Florges is great partly because she is a pure Fairy-type, but still.
Mudsdale looks awesome and I have a feeling that it will also be awesome. It's a goddamn Ground-type draft horse that increases its Defense every time it gets hit. That thing so has a place in my team.
And finally, Cherrim Jr. Bounsweet, the Pokémon that has a tendency to get eaten by other Pokémon. Yikes. Even if the poor bastard turns out to be better than Cherrim, I don't think I'll be interested.

These new Pokémon look quite interesting. The only one of this batch I definitely won't train is the new Pikachu clone. For some reason, I trained a Minun, a Pachirisu and an Emolga in their respective Gens and they all sucked. Never again.
The thing that caught my attention the most were all the new Abilities. Even if the Pokémon themselves won't be any good, their Abilities sound fantastic. Dazzling, Comatose, Berserk and Electric Surge all seem awesome. I just wish Tapu Koko isn't a legendary Pokémon so that I can actually use it.

Pikipek is best bird mom. I know what I'm going to name mine and I'll train her to be strong in the real way. She will be amazed by my beauty and my worth, I'll protect Alola and I'll do it for her.

There's a new trailer, guys.Solgaleo is a Psychic/Steel-type with an Ability called Clear BodyFull Metal Body and a new move called Sunsteel Strike. Lunala is a Psychic/Ghost-type with an Ability called MultiscaleShadow Shield and it knows a new move called Moongeist Beam. I'm a little surprised at the type choices. I expected Solgaleo to be at least partly a Fire-type and Lunala to be partly a Dark or Fairy-type. Also, Kukui is the regional Professor and he has an assistant named Lillie, who is apparently mysterious. The rival's name is Hau and the player's Pokédex is a Rotom. That's cool.

So, the Alola region, huh? Looks like the Hawaii theory was correct.
I don't care about the legendaries, but the starters look pretty cool. Rowlet is adorable, but sadly Grass/Flying is a terrible combination. Litten is cute too, but they really couldn't come up with something else than a fire cat after we just got Litleo and Pyroar in the previous Gen? Not to mention that the Sun legendary also looks like Pyroar or possibly Entei. Nope, I'm on Team Popplio. Water is supposed to be my favorite type and I picked Snivy in Black and Fennekin in Y.

So... No Z? Whatever, I didn't want to buy Z anyway. Sun and Moon certainly sound interesting. I had no idea what legendaries they could possibly come up with after Land, Sea, Sky, Time, Space, God, Devil, Truth, Ideals, Life, Death and Balance, but it seems I was worried over nothing. Let's just hope that the legendaries representing Sun and Moon won't be equines, because that would most likely piss off many people.
Luna is best legendary.

Getting to read several new pages at once was certainly a pleasant surprise. Too bad I don't remember much about the beginning of this storyline anymore, so I'll probably reread it all at some point.
Anyway, wow, Wally's Gulpin is a goddamn tank. It endured all those attacks, including several Fury Cutters (which, as we all know, is a move that gets stronger every time it's used). Brendan or May will be very happy with Swalot one day.
Oh, silly NPCs. Never change. I think I actually laughed at that little boy's dumb joke as a teenager.
I remember that girl who got killed by her Azurill. It's nice to see that other Fallarborians cared about her enough to leave flowers at the place she died. I just wonder what happened to her Azurill.
Btw, Professor Cozmo's first name is Takao... Oh, I get it, "Taco". Very clever.
