Also, aesthetically, Treeco's Evolutionary line looks cool. Sceptile is hideous.

Just get a Pikachu at level 5, train it, feed it all the Protein and Special Attack items it can eat, and teach it Thunder or Thunderbolt and then evolve it into Raichu. I use pokemon as they become useful throughout the game. Pikachu are never usful until you face Lorieli. AND PKACHU ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AT LVL. 5. It's improbable to get one at level 4, and your lucky if you can even find one at level 3. I'm not spending 3 hours scouring the Viridian forest. Also, Zapdos are hard to catch and are decimated by Ice Beam. Also, Sceptile looks freaking awsome. Not as cool as Grovyle, but still awsome.

I was just saying Level 5 because I couldn't remember the levels of all the pokemon in Viridian. All the bugs are around Level 5. My bad. Also, I forgot Ice Beam takes out Flyers.

I had a snorlax with Shock Wave and a Primape with thunder to take out that Gyrados... but the Arodactyl ripped my team to shreds... the memories still hurt!
Current team: Cowbell!- Charmeleon- lvl. 16 w/ scratch, ember, metal claw, and growl. Mankey- Mankey- Lvl. 4 w/ scratch and leer. Flyinig Rat- Pidgey- Lvl. 5 w/ Tackle and sand attack.

I don't like blastoise. It's just not fun to use. Charizard is cool and Venasaur is my Diamond powerhouse.

Electabuzz is a strong electric type and if you teach it Psychic than it can take down both Lorelei and Agatha.

I'm gonna call Bull on that HH. the Twins alone would make quick work of your Electrode.

I think we're off-topic again, but whatever.
To me, Platinum's Elite Four after the National Pokédex is the hardest of all. Of course, I always beat them with my level 100 pokémon, but they're still extremely tough, especially Cynthia. Her Garchomp is a beast.
But I've never had any trouble with either of Hoenn's Leagues. Kanto's Elite Four is tough, but I've almost always managed to beat them, and Johto's League is nothing but a joke.
