Which leads me to believe we might just get the special pichu as a toys r us event in America... Since there's no way the next pokemon movie will come to theaters here... >_>

Johto was always a bit hillbilly-ish compared to the urban Kanto region. I don't see it but ok... About 2/5 of Johto is mountainous (including caves and tunnels) and 3/5 of Johto are basically trees... Lots of trees... As for Kanto, 3/5 is urban, 1/5 is mountainous, and 1/5 are trees. But residents of Johto were never hillbilly-ish, they're more cultural than anything. Now Sinnoh is filled with hillbillies.

It'd depend, then on how we define hilbilly. If you're thinking buck-toothed, straw hats, barefoot, then you're already out of synch. Kanto is a heavily-urbanized area; Johto is primarily rugged and wooded, with a simpler culture. Then again, this is about the generation where we get heavy into moo-cows

I don't know what you're talking about. Special Pichu? In one of the Pikachu movies(those shorts before the movie actually starts), there's a special Pichu with a notched ear. This Pichu can be encountered in HG/SS if you have another special Pichu you get from an event. This other special Pichu is darker than a regular Pichu, I believe it uses Pikachu's color palette.

And I can't really understand what you mean when you say "simpler culture"... Are you saying Johto doesn't have much culture?

See, I knew I should have put a disclaimer for "simpler culture", thinking that someone - SOMEONE - had to be dumb enough to translate "simple culture" as "as far as quantity goes, it gots less culture; or culture of a lower quality". I refused, because I believed in this world. For my own sake, I will ignore that such a challenge ever came up.
Also, I believe that, when someone runs a ranch or farm, we call them "farmers" or "ranchers". Nothing at all of that description Requires that such a person has to originate in hilly, wooded areas that hillbillies call home.
Kids. GPAs are on the rise, and more kids are enrolling into college courses earlier and at an exponential rate, but boy can they still be dumb as bricks.
To get back on topic of the Gold and Silver remakes, I'm actually now looking forward to this. Being able to explore two, count them two, full regions... Future games merely copped out by tossing in battle towers/areas/whatever, so this will be good to get the ol' Adventurer blood flowing again.

Prehaps you skimed through my post and missed when I wrote "where I come from". I'm saying the term "hillbilly" is more a slang than a stereotype, which is used by people I know that run farms or ranches. You must read between the lines, VMag.
Let's say I called you gangsta. You know I'm not implying that you are a gangster, because in the enviroment we lived in, saying, "You gangsta!" Is basically saying, "You're cool!"

This is seriously getting off topic can we just skip the "you meant this-" "no I meant that-" and move on?
Quick note to anyone who comes across news that the game will feature a skateboard or that there will be a september 11th release date these reports are fake.
