Guess who is playing through this game really slow? SPOILER ALERT: It's me.
I had to go to a family meeting across the country over the weekend, I took my DS with me and got a good 5 hours of play time on Black. I would have had more but I forgot to charge my DS and it died half an hour on the way over.
Anywho, I just got through Pinwheel Forest and got into the big city.
Wow. Just wow. I never thought I would see something so big and filled to the brim in a Pokemon game. The ignorant passer-bys, the huge skyscrapers, the different camera angles for going into alleyways. Hell, even the massive bridge in was really awesome. For the first time in ages I stopped and walked a huge distance in a Pokemon game, taking all the scenery in.
Again, wow.
The team so far:
Nukem the evolved form of Snivy SeeNoEvil the evolved form of the water monkey Sulk the evolved form of the blue blackbelt Tape the soon to be replaced by an awesome venipede zebra and two other HM slaves/filler pokemon.
I can't remember any names...

Yeah, Castelia City is something, all right. I remember I was in awe when I first arrived there in my game. Sulk the evolved form of the blue blackbelt Sawk the blue blackbelt doesn't have an evolved form.

Blargh, I was just in the habit of writing "the evolved form of..." Herp derp.
Sawk is awesome and is my heavy hitter right now. I have to keep him out of battle for ages because he is so easy to level up and keep with the team.

Sawk/Throh don't seem very good to me. Then again, at that point of the game your only alternative Fightan Type is Timburr...uh...so...yeah. Also, you made sure your monkey learned Acrobatics before evolving it, right? Because it doesn't learn anymore moves after it evolves. I suppose you could use some heart scales, but that's not gonna be for a loooooooooooooong time. Anyway, my team is currently: Tradicans, the Serperior. Casey, the Scrafty. Loki, the Stunfisk. (SHINYYYYY) Kotal, the Archeops. Pog, the Eelektrik. (I REALLY want that Zap Cannon.) and Fiddle, the Ducklett. (HM Slave.) Still haven't gotten started on that chess team. Think I might make a Power Rangers team instead. Red Ranger - Bisharp/Magmortar Blue Ranger - Dewott/Simipour (I'm probably gonna choose Dewott) Yellow Ranger - Mienfoo/Electivire Pink Ranger - Blissey/Audino (Audino dies for our siiiiiiiiins.) Black Ranger - Sneasel (It's my favorite Pokemon and I don't like Weavile very much.) and finally Green Ranger - Gallade

I started EV training yesterday. It's ridiculously easy with PokéRus and Macho Brace.
So far I've EV trained my Zebstrika Gwen and Excadrill Huey in Attack and Speed. Routes 1 and 3 are the best places for that with their Lillipup, Patrat and Basculin.

Bah, reminds me that I need to transfer some of my PokéRus infected from SS. Hmm, what levels were they? I usually found route 10 to be pretty good for Attack EVs since there are Herdier and Bouffalant there with decent encounter rates.

Lillipup and Patrat on Route 1 are level 2-4, and Basculin on Route 3 are level 5-15.
So yeah, don't expect to raise your pokémon's level there, but those places are perfect for Attack and Speed EV points, because there are only Lillipup and Patrat on Route 1 and only Basculin when you Surf on Route 3. You never have to run away when you're training.

I don't really EV train, but I think Route 4 also works as Scraggy, Darumaka, and Sandile all give Attack. Of course, as with SJ's suggestion it's only 1 EV while the ones you listed give 2.

Today I EV trained my Sawk Ian. In Attack and Speed, naturally. My three EV trained pokémon, Gwen, Huey and Ian are all at level 55 now.

Do the Multi Train with Hilda. Her Pokemon are op so it makes things a lot easier. I've gotten a 49 win streak with her so far.
