I discarded SJ's logic when he used the cartoon for a reference to logic. Also, if the pokemon can take so much care, why not just not hurt your allies at all? Because they'd have no choice. If the trainer commanded said pokemon to use EQ in a double battle, the best it could do would be to avoid the attack for the trainers. The moral of the story is: Trainers before pokemon. Couldn't he/she sit on a flying or levitating pokemon? That way, their t-tar could EQ away without hurting their jolteon. Point is, it makes no sense.

No-one has answered mine yet. Also, I don't think that every trainer would use levitation or flying as a means of assured protection for every battle.

In Pokemon Adventures they're goal is to attack the trainer in some battles.

The Pokémon manga is fucked-up. That information didn't even surprise me.
And there is no sensible answer to those baby Nidoqueen, Panda. The only explanation I can come up with (that makes no sense) is that the clone pokémon can breed offspring of their own species AND their own evolutionary stage, even if they are fully evolved. So if that Rhyhorn had been a Rhydon, I bet her babies would have been little Rhydon too.
And as for Nidoqueen being in the No Eggs group, that's just plain bullshit. I've never understood why Nidorina and Nidoqueen can't have babies, if female Nidoran can. Nidorino and Nidoking can breed with female pokémon, so why should their female counterparts be unable to breed with males? That's stupid, really stupid.
Clearly Nidoqueen can have babies in the anime, though. That scene with the baby Nidoqueen is a proof of that.

Or its just nintendo being sexist pigs XD I don't understand how in gen 5... there are times where other people fly and don't take you along... this is to cities you have never visited and they make you trek across numerous routes just to catch up

Maybe their flying pokémon can't hold the weight of two people?
Nah. Either those people are being jerks or Nintendo didn't want to make the game too easy.

Why is it that in Red/Blue games, the Cinnabar Mansion diaries state that, " Mew gave birth. We named the newborn Mewtwo.", despite the fact that Mewtwo was cloned from an fossilised eyelash of Mew? The games themselves also state in Mewtwo's pokedex entry that he was an experiment. This diary issue wasn't even fixed in the remakes FireRed and LeafGreen. Heck, all the diary page's texts haven't even been so much as touched. I don't understand how in gen 5... there are times where other people fly and don't take you along... this is to cities you have never visited and they make you trek across numerous routes just to catch up Because birdy pokemon can't accept too much weight. It'd be like a cat trying to lift up a rock with it's back. Wait. No. My bad. TWO rocks.

The Pokémon manga is fuc ked-up. That information didn't even surprise me. This from the guy who referenced the anime for logic. Personally, I think the Adventures comic does a lot better at depicting a world with pokemon than the cartoon or the game. Mewtwo was cloned and then inserted into Mew's body to incubate. Once the clone reached maturity, it was born and then put into the lab containers for experiments.

I remind you that these diary pages are assumed to have been written by Jessie's mother while excavating an icy mountain in search for Mew. How does implanting a cloned fetus into Mew do anything if: 1. Mew is nearly considered a myth at the time, and all they had to go on with is a fossilised eyelash and 2. Someone can't really do any of what you just said while you're out in the freezing cold while left to die. To make matters worse, Jessie's mother did find Mew eventually, but accidently scared it off. And then she died. BTW that story + Articuno's Red/Blue pokedex entry = coincedence?

Jesse's mom was the one to discover Mew? I didn't know that.
And Dave, I'm sure that the manga does a good job depicting a world with pokemon, but it's still fucked-up. All that sexist, perverted stuff in it really crosses the line.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean my sexist/perverted stuff there SJ, I have read up to the Johto saga and I don't find it bad at all. I prefer the manga to the anime. IMO it better describes what people would do if they had pokemon, none of this AIM FOR THE HORN/YOU DIDN'T WIN THE BATTLE BUT HERE'S THE BADGE ANYWAY/BEEEEELIEVE IN YOURSELF stuff the anime or the games have. This is coming from a guy who doesn't like anime/manga. Take that as you will. ~*AnImE*~ The way I see it is that the manga goes for a gritty "realistic" version of the pokemon world, aimed at adults and late teens. The anime is there for 10 to 14 year olds (There are exceptions to this rule, for example MLP is aimed at 8-10 year old girls, it's watched most by 20-30 year old males) and the games are there to get the children hooked on the product around the ages 5-10 while still providing a similar, but different experience for the long time players. Anywho, time to post something on topic, to more or less repeat dave, Panda, we haven't gotten to the stage where we hae developed an artificial womb. When pokemon was made in... 1994(?) the thought of including one, in a kids game wouldn't have crossed GameFreak's minds. Even the first mammal to be cloned ( Dolly the sheep) was born of an actual sheep. I'm not sure but I think I have read an explination for the baby nidoqueen, again, it is the fact that they are clones. It was some B/S about them not having the right genes for creating nidoran. I could be wrong though and I'm probably making that up.

I remind you that these diary pages are assumed to have been written by Jessie's mother while excavating an icy mountain in search for Mew. What? Jessie exists neither in the Adventure comic, nor the video game (Yellow is considered non-cannon). Even in the cartoon, the Mewtwo movie shows Jessie and James watching a video made by the people who created Mewtwo and she never says 'OMG! MOM?!?!?!' Where do you get this? Also, these are the journal entries: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Mansion_journals^^^ Clearly shows that Mew was present at Mewtwo's birth. How does implanting a cloned fetus into Mew do anything if: 1. Mew is nearly considered a myth at the time, and all they had to go on with is a fossilised eyelash and 2. Someone can't really do any of what you just said while you're out in the freezing cold while left to die. 1. Mew was considered a myth by some, but others knew it existed. Probably the people who found it in South America knew it existed. 2. WTF are you talking about? They found Mew in a South American jungle. Who would freeze in a jungle? And Dave, I'm sure that the manga does a good job depicting a world with pokemon, but it's still fuc ked-up. All that sexist, perverted stuff in it really crosses the line. You're gonna have to give an example or two. The reason I like the Adventure comic is because they do such a good job of not being sexist. Males and females regularly battle each other with no hesitation due to gender. Both are league champions. Either gender can be the one that does gym battles while the other does contests or something else. As for perversion, you're REALLY gonna have to give me an example. I can't think of any time that they've shown Silver undressing Crystal or Lady Plat reaching into Dia's 'pants pocket.' I'm not exactly sure what you mean my sexist/perverted stuff there SJ, I have read up to the Johto saga and I don't find it bad at all. I think SJ just doesn't like stories where the good guys have to compromise their morals in order to win. That's my take on it. Either way, I'm curious about sexist/perverted stuff.

OK, I have never actually read any Pokémon manga, but I know that it's had some pretty freaky shit in it.
I've read that the manga has had a LOT of cleavage showing, sexual innuendo, Misty taking baths with Tentacool, perverted Ash, the Kangaskhan Kid getting a mouthful of Jesse's tit and even girls sticking their noses in Zigzagoon's ass (and apparently liking it).
Not to mention Arbok getting cut in half and somehow surviving it.
I'm not saying that all that stuff is bad. It's taking things too far only if you compare it to the anime. I've always been and always will be a huge fan of the Pokémon anime, so reading about these weird things in the manga just makes them seem creepier to me than they probably are.
Actually I wish that the anime would develop a bit. It's good, but some things in it really need to change. One thing has changed already - Team Rocket has lost their silliness and become serious, competent and menacing, that's good. I wish Ash would get kicked out of the show and replaced with a new protagonist, but that's never going to happen - his Pikachu is the mascot of the entire series, so they can't get rid of him.

Oh... You thought we were talking about the Electric Tale of Pikachu. That's what the mix up is. No, we're talking about the Pokemon Adventure comic. Completely different things.
